Batwoman 3x3 : Freeze review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Another week and another good episode of Batwoman infact this is a great episode of Batwoman with many emotional and impactful character moments and development. The episode opens up with a business man chasing down a bus. He ends up missing it but luckily for him it may be the best thing that's ever happened to him as onboard we see two school children. One is playing a handheld video game but the other has a strange canister in his hands. This strange canister turns out to have belonged to none other than Victor Fries also known as Mr Freeze. The bus completely freezes over leaving everyone inside seemingly frozen. When a report later comes on the news that is when we learn that said canister once belonged to none other than Victor Fries who is said to have passed away. The canister was found by the river after washing up along the shoreline. At the end of last w

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Here we are. The 100th episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Quite a feat considering this shows rocky start to life in it's early seasons. But since then this show has only come on leaps and bounds getting crazier and crazier with each episode. So with that intro out of the way let's get into this episode because there is a lot here to dissect and talk about. The episode begins as we're still in 1925 Texas with Spooner and Astra attempting to get Gideon to open up more so that they can all get to Dr Gwen Davies before the Legends do. The three arrive outside of a home that belongs to a prized pie winner who just so happens to have left freshly baked pie outside her home. The trio argue about how Gideon doesn't need to be ordered around anymore which leads to Gideon collapsing onto the ground as the emotion and stress of the moment becomes too much.

Stargirl 2x12 : Summer School Chapter Twelve : Review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. The penultimate episode of Stargirl's second season has come and gone and with it we got a reunion of friends and enemies and finally learn of Eclipso's true endgame. The episode opens as everyone returns back to the Whitmore home. When they walk in they see that the Cosmic Staff is back and ready to go. While the family are home we see both Beth and Jenni go to the second Shade location that Jenni's Lantern ring signaled last week. When they arrive they see that the school is pretty much shut down but inside they find something. Upon scanning it Beth learns that it's a dark energy residue left behind when Eclipso sent Cindy to the Shadowlands. Jenni uses her ring on it and seemingly blasts it away but it actually gets inside of her ring. This plays right into the ending of this episode in a very interesting way indeed. When Beth and Jenni arrive back a

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. This weeks episode of Supergirl is a pretty interesting episode to say the least. The episode begins where last week ended as Lex Luthor appears by Nyxlys side. He tells her that he is from the future. The 31st century to be exact as we learn a bit later. He also tells her that he say her die and that in the future they work together as partners but later we find out that Lex thinks of her as something more than just a friend. So with Lex back in the frame and not exactly popular with Nyxly is modern day can he not only win her over but can he help her restore her crystal ball and find the next totem which just so happens to be the Love Totem. We're soon back at the Tower and see that Alex has got something planned for Kelly. A proposal in fact. Wanting to propose on the date of the moment she knew that Kelly was the one for her she goes to try and get everything r

Dune (2021) review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. I've never seen the original adaptation of Dune. And I've never really been the biggest fan of Sci-Fi so expectations were pretty low going into Dune and they were very much met. Dune is an epic movie done on an absolutely incredible scale. The story follows the son of a noble family who're entrusted with protecting the most vital and valuable element in the galaxy. Starring a pretty impressive cast consisting of Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isacc and more Dune slowly plods along in a manner that you're either going to love or hate. For me it was the latter unfortunately as Dune just didn't do much for more. It's slow and quite frankly boring.  That being said Dune is one of the most visually breathtaking movies I've seen this year. You really have to see this on the biggest screen possible because it is just sublime. Performan

Venom Let There Be Carnage review

Image
Back in 2018 Venom was unleashed unto the world and it was far from perfect but boy was it entertaining. It's now 2021 and after delays Venom's sequel has arrived and it is as fast paced if not even more so than the original. Tom Hardy reprises his role as Eddie Brock / Venom and after the events of the first movie they're somewhat living in harmony. They've worked a system and works for them. But when Eddie Brock gets a call to visit on death row Serial Killer Cletus Kasady his entire life will change as he unknowingly creates the villainous Symbiote Carnage.  Venom Let There Be Carnage is incredibly fast paced. It's so fast paced that it's hard to keep up with what's going on at some points. Tom Hardy is good here much like he was in the first movie and he seems to be having a ton of fun. The banter between him and Venom is easily the highlight here in a movie that tries very hard to be funny and while some scenes are very funny others are flat out cring

Batwoman 3x2 : Loose Teeth review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. This weeks episode of Batwoman is an interesting one that's for sure. The episode opens with something out of a horror movie. Two students break into a inside pool area and jump inside. While inside the guy pretends to disappear to scare his girlfriend?? or does he?? as within seconds he resurfaces but not by his own will. He is thrown around in the pool by something before finally being dragged down under with the water turning red. The girl attempts to escape but also ends up getting dragged under the water being totally devoured by whatever was under there. Well just what was under there?? well it was none other than Batman villain Killer Croc as it's reported on the news the following morning. But this isn't the classic Waylon Jones version of Croc it is a new version much like The Mad Hatter that we saw last week. According to Luke Waylon Jones was kil

Legends Of Tomorrow 7x2 : The Need for Speed review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. After what was a rather interesting and different season premiere last week can this weeks direct follow up episode of DC's Legends Of Tomorrow be good?? the answer is yes. Yes it can! the episode begins as we see the Legends coming to grips with the situation they're in. J Edgar Hoover is dead, the timeline is surely going to be messed up and Gary is struggling with indigestion from devouring the former head of the FBI. On the radio there is also reports of the Bullet Blondes ( Sara and Ava ) still being at large and are considered both dangerous and wanted women. They all hear this as they attempt to get the car they stole from Hoover up and running again. While Behrad is at work doing that Nate is pretty shaken up about what's happened. Not only did he kill J Edgar Hoover last week but he feels very much responsible for destroying the timeline. Sara and

Stargirl 2x11 : Summer School : Chapter Eleven review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Stargirl is back with a new episode and after a wild and crazy ending last week this episode has a lot to live up to. It begins with Pat informing his family about just what happened to Courtney. The family is seen hugging and crying in the main room of the home. Courtney is gone..or is she?? the episode truly opens up with Courtney who we see waking up in the middle of Blue Valley. The entire scene and majority of the episode is done in black and white. It's a great touch as this is a rabbit hole that Courtney has descended down into and she is seemingly stuck here. When Courtney comes across the diner she goes inside and comes across the entire Zarrick Family. The Zarricks who were headed by The Wizard who was apart of the ISA. Courtney gets flashbacks to her past as the people inside of the diner begin to surround her. She is quickly thrown into a new area and i

Supergirl 6x16 : Nightmare in National City review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. It's a new week so that means a new episode of Supergirl and with only 4 episodes remaining after this episode things are going to get very interesting indeed. The episode begins with Nia's search for the Dream Totem. She is seen telling Brainy that her investigation has been a total bust thus far. But with that being said she does intend on going to see her sister Maeve who the last time she talked with accused her of not being worthy of the Dream power and heritage. Nia does go to see her sister but she learns that not only has she taken up a new profession but she has even changed her name. She visits her at a school she is teaching at. Inside Maeve tells Nia about the Dream Totem. It is located inside of the Dream Realm. To possess the totem once must be of pure heart, mind and spirit. Nia gets to work on doing some research as we see that Nxyly is also on

Batwoman 3x1 : Mad as a Hatter review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Batwoman returns for it's third season and with a promise of a lot of classic Batman villains showing up this could shape up to be the best season yet. The episode begins as we see the Mad Hatter's hat being retrieved from the lake where we saw it among other villain objects last season. Someone picks the hat up and takes it to their home placing it up for sale online. Someone ends up buying it and as we see it's a man who later becomes known as Liam. He takes the hat and places it on his head as the camera pans out showing his entire room. It turns out he is a fanboy of Alice with pictures of her everywhere with the words Free Alice also being shown. With a great and interesting start we're soon shown both Batwoman and Luke in his batsuit out and about on the hunt for more of the villain objects that were let loose at the end of season 2. Luke's su

Legends Of Tomorrow 7x1 : The Bullet Blondes review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Legends of Tomorrow returns after a short break between season 6 and 7. The last time we saw the Legends a a waverider flew into where they were and destroyed their own waverider. With all of that in mind the episode opens up in Odessa Texas 1925 which is where the Legends still are. The episode begins with a number of residents living in the area talking to the Sheriff. Describing things like seeing a dinosaur roaming around the area and bright lights above the night sky this leaves the Sheriff baffled. We're then back with the Legends who are still in shock after what just happened to the waverider. Pieces of the ship are seen scattered around the fielded area in front of them. With the town buzzing with conspiracies the Legends come up with a plan to use one of their time couriers to jump onto the waverider that zipped in and out of the area and sneakily take ou

Stargirl 2x10 : Summer School : Chapter Ten review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Another week and yet another great episode of Stargirl. The episode begins as we get another flashback of the aftermath of the JSA's questionable decision to murder explorer Bruce Gordyn to stop Eclipso. We see Starman apologize to Pat as this ties directly back into present day where the episode really begins where it ended last week as Courtney and Mike feel betrayed by their parents as they've kept the JSA's dark secret from them. Their relationship is pretty tarnished and is throughout as it will take some time to fix and gain their trust again. As they're all arguing The Shade shows up still pretty badly injured. He is left to rest on the couch as Barbara stays behind to watch on him. Beth is also present as she comes over to Courtney's house as her goggles begin to work again with Dr-Midnite stating that The Shade didn't actually kill him

Supergirl 6x15 : Hope for Tomorrow review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. What do you get when you combine a nuclear war, Supergirl's gauntlet for peace and Alex and Kelly growing ever closer as they've now adopted the young alien girl Esme?? well you get this episode. It's a wild ride of an episode that begins with the young girl Esme being shown her new room as she meets Kara and J'onn for the first time. Her powers consist of her being able to mimic any other alien she is around. The bulk of the episode is mainly her being slowly introduced to more and more powers by Alex and Kelly who try to ease her into the new living situation. With Alex and Kelly busy with Esme this leaves Supergirl and J'onn on the hunt for the Hope Totem which is at The Hague building in the Netherlands as we saw last week. Supergirl and J'onn turn up just as Nyxly attempts to retrieve the totem but she manages to get away but she doesn'

Stargirl 2x9 : Summer School : Chapter Nine review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Stargirl has been on quite the roll lately. Dishing out great episode after great episode and this weeks episode is no different as it deals with a lot of strong subjects and the reason why the JSA split up and were never the same again. The episode begins as we meet the explorer Bruce Gordyn who was the one who first brought Eclipso into the world. While exploring he found the black diamond and since bringing it back home with him he has used it in all manners of ways to get ahead and become more powerful. When we meet him we see that he no longer can contain nor does he want Eclipso in his life anymore. Of course the black diamond talks to him much like we saw with Cindy earlier in the season. He convinces the explorer to embrace him and let him in. After a long discussion which involved apparent suicide and a gun (yes it got that dark) Eclipso is let into Bruce as t
