Arrow 7x20 : Confessions review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Murder, violence, intrigue and confessions. This week's episode of Arrow is a strong case for one of this season's best. And it beginnings with the finding of a crime scene. Upon reflection Dinah calls in all of Team Arrow to interview. So she interviews, Oliver, Rene, Diggle, Felicity and a mystery person who I won't spoil just yet. Team Arrow had been dealing with a terrorist attack in a subway location where Emiko was inside preparing to set off her weapon. The episode reverts to flashbacks, cuts and quick time scenes all that work in it's favor throughout. It's a unique episode of Arrow that's for sure. So in the interview room all Team Arrow members tell their story. One face may seem very familiar to fans of this show since it's beginning. Roy Harper (Arsenal, Red Arrow etc) makes his return to the show after getting a call to come help with Th

Legends Of Tomorrow 4x13 : Egg MacGuffin review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  After last week's true return to form can Legends Of Tomorrow continue it's strong push going forward as only a couple of episodes remain?? beginning in the Arctic Wilderness in 1933 we see two men inside a camp. One man is inside before another enters with something he found covered in frozen ice. They break the ice around the object to reveal a giant golden egg inside. The egg will play a big part in this episode and going forward as later it is revealed what lays inside of it. Back on the waverider and we see Ray walk in to check up on Nora who is still out after the encounter with Neron in last week's episode. Mona is by her side who leaves the room leaving Ray by himself with Nora. At the end of last week's episode we saw that the demon Neron was now inside of Ray and while sitting on the bed by Nora Ray picks up a pillow and attempts to smother her. He fi

Supergirl 4x19 : American Dreamer review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  After last week's rather brilliant episode of Supergirl can this show continues it's upwards trend as it heads into the final couple of episodes?? yes it can. Beginning at Cat.Co where we see Kara writing an article on Lex after being given all sorts of info on him at the end of last week's episode. Outside on the streets of National City we see 2 thugs causing some problems. This leads to Dreamer appearing and putting them to sleep. Dreamer was even nice enough to write 'Sleeping Beauty' on one of their heads before leaving as DEO agents rushed to the scene. At Lena's secret lab we see her, James his sister and Brainiac-5 working over James who seems to be only getting stronger and showing signs of more powers each time he goes through one of his traumatic episodes. This leads to Brainy using a device the calls the Mind Palace to go inside James's m

Gotham 5x12 : The Beginning review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  So here we are. The finally episode of Gotham ever has come and gone and with it a number of things were addressed. This episode had so much to handle. From introducing a fully fledged Batman to letting fans know what various villains (mainly Penguin, Jeremiah and Riddler) have been up to over the past 10 years. Beginning with Bruce Wayne who we see on a boat. He voices over the scene as he reads out a letter that he wrote for Alfred. He says he will be back to Gotham one day and that Alfred won't hear from him for quite some time. Until he is able to fully protect those he loves he will not return. The scene ends with a shot of a mountain in the background which can only explain that Bruce is going there to train and better himself which I really like. It is then we're brought 10 years into the future. And inside of Mayor James's office, yes that's the same M

Avengers Endgame review

Image
The endgame has arrived. Over 20+ movies have been leading to this moment. Avengers Endgame is the epic culmination of years and years of hard work to bring so many different and unique characters to life and boy does it pay off. Taking place not long after Infinity War and that now infamous finger snap that wiped out over half the world's population. The movie begins with our heroes all for the most part separated. Enter Captain Marvel then who isn't in the movie nearly as much as I thought she would be and she vows to kill Thanos. Tony Stark who had been working with Nebula while drifting in space returns to Earth and right away his relationship with Steve Rogers is pushed to the limit. The cast here are as you'd expect. On form. They never miss a beat really and while some jokes are really gyrating and not funny for the most part Avengers Endgame is an amazing experience. One that will make you laugh, make you scream, make you jump for joy and even make you cry.

The Flash 5x19 : Snow Pack review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. After last week's almost best of season episode The Flash returns this week with another really solid episode. Beginning where the last one ended almost we see Barry standing in the pipeline. After just sending Nora back to the future Iris walks into the pipeline and confronts him. The two argue about his decision in what really was an intense scene with some really impressive acting by both parties. Iris says she is not worried by Thawne helping Nora which was a bit selfish in my opinion. After all he did kill Barry's mother practically right in front of him as a kid. Speaking of Thawne in 2049 we see Nora and him talking again. Nora mentions how he has been able to use the speedforce without being detected by other speedsters for years. Thawne says that's because he has created his very own speedforce. The negative speedforce which has allowed him to traverse ti

Arrow 7x19 : Spartan review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. With not many episodes left remaining this season, this week's episode of Arrow begins with Oliver and Diggle looking for Emiko. They end up running into Virgil (same guy from earlier in the season who Diaz ran into) they ask him where Emiko is but he flat out denies as he says he'd rather keep his head. He drops something while making his escape so Oliver and Diggle look to the ARGUS general for further support and intel. It turns out that the ARGUS General whose name is Stuart is actually Diggle's father in law. He worked with Dig's father who died while on a job before marrying his mom years later. The two don't seem to get on at all at first but as the episode goes on a mutual respect begins to form between the two which I really liked. Back at Felicity and Oliver's place and as her and her friend from Helix are discussing Archer being almost fully

Legends Of Tomorrow 4x12 : The Eggplant, the Witch & the Wardrobe review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Legends Of Tomorrow has had quite an interesting season thus far to say the very least. We've encountered swamp monsters, puppets, a bollywood musical and a not very nice fairy godmother. Well this episode continues to the trend of various outlandish things but also really brings the show back to it's core which I really liked. Beginning inside of Ava's apartment we hear a knock on the door. It's Sara who says she just wants to talk. There is no answer and there is a good reason as inside Ava's apartment has been torn upside down with things thrown everywhere. Sara still technically shares the apartment with Ava so enters and doesn't see Ava anywhere. Back aboard the waverider and we see Zari, Mona, Nora and Charlie talking. Sara walks in and says that Ava is missing. Nora suggests that maybe Neron has something to do with this and Constantine backs up

Supergirl 4x18 : Crime and Punishment review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Supergirl returns from it's hiatus with a rather great episode. Beginning with the after math of Red Daughter's assault on the White House martial law is declared in National City. The people are almost instantly calling Supergirl (who didn't commit the crime as we know) a terrorist and traitor. Supergirl gets confronted by people who aim a gun at her, taken a back by all this Kara goes to see Lena and Alex who say they will do all they can in helping to expose Lex and his scheme. Kara tries to figure out just why and how Lex achieved what he did and says could he have used Bizarro to achieve his goal? or maybe a shapeshifter? Alex shoots down the Bizarro mention but doesn't have an answer for now much like Lena. Kara and Lena do come up with a plan for the time being however. They go and speak to the warden who

Gotham 5x11 : They did what? review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. The penultimate episode and the final modern day of Gotham has come and gone and with it we're shown plenty of teases to the future and a look into who will eventually become Gotham's main protector. Beginning outside of the GCPD where people are in complete distress over the city on the brink of being completely destroyed, inside we see Gordon, Harvey, Lee and more talk about the ongoing situation. In the medical room stands Bruce and Selina and after Bane brutalized Alfred in the last episode Bruce takes the blame all on himself again. Selina says it's not his fault as he could not have known what would happen. It's soon after this that the army arrive in Gotham after the general who is under Nyssa Al Ghul's command don't forget calls them in. Gordon is immediately told of the situation and goes to form up. It's after this where we see Os

Five Feet Apart review

Image
Cystic Fibrosis or CF as it's mainly called in this movie is a horrible condition to befall anyone. It is heavily featured throughout here and can be very eye opening at times as the movie goes on. Starring Haley Lu Richardson and Cole Sprouse as two young adults who've been struggling with CF their entire lives. Stella (Haley Lu Richardson) has been living with CF all her life and is a strict bossy young woman who likes to have everything in her life in place. Will (Cole Sprouse) couldn't be anymore opposite and as the two first meet at the hospital they are both attending sparks don't immediately fly rather it takes time for things to develop which was good and interesting. The two leads here are incredibly likable and charming. Haley Lu Richardson's Stella steals every scene she's in almost and is a pleasure to watch. Cole Sprouse's Will is good here also and offers a good sense of stability and rebellious nature to Lu's Stella who can be very bo

The Flash 5x18 : Godspeed review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. The Flash returns from it's break with one heck of an episode. Beginning where it ended the last time where after just telling everyone that she had been working with Eobard Thawne this entire time Barry places his daughter into a cell in the pipeline. Up above everyone wonders just why Nora would do such a thing and it's Sherloque who gets the short end of the stick. As he suspected Nora from the beginning of the season and said nothing to anybody. Of course he defends himself but nobody really believes him enough to truly care. Ralph says there is only one way to find out why Nora did what she did and picks up her journal. And it's from here where we are sent into the future to be told of Nora's on goings before she came back to the past. Right away I get season 1 flashbacks to Barry as Nora clumsily tries to make her way to work as a CSI just like her dad

Arrow 7x18 : Lost Canary review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Arrow returns from it's mini hiatus with a Canary centered episode. Beginning with Laurel who has returned to her Black Siren roots. We see her walk into a hallway wearing a cloak over her head. She asks to see someone named Shadowthief but is denied by various guys who she has not trouble in beating up. She eventually meets Shadowthief who we learn is someone that Laurel has worked with before. Shadowthief also knew Diaz but now she's working for someone else. A mercenary for hire all she cares about is getting paid for doing what she does.  Her and Laurel go on crime spree of sorts and steal over 100 thousand from a money launderer guy who works for a crime gang. As all of this is happening a warrant goes out for Laurel's arrest and at the bunker we see Felicity try her upmost to take the blame from Laurel. She refuses to believe that she has returned to being B
