Legends Of Tomorrow 5x13 : The One Where We're Trapped on TV review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Legends Of Tomorrow's penultimate episode of season 5 is not only one of the most entertaining and truly wild episodes this season but this show has ever produced in my opinion. It begins in a dystopian world which is now fully run and controlled by the Fates who have total access over the Lume of Faith. We see a returning Mona who along with many others are tasked with rewriting history in a department called the Historical Sanitation Department. Mona is among many others being put to work by the Fates who if anyone steps out of line have no trouble cutting their threads to kill them. Atropos even showcases this as one worker questions the tactics and truth to the entire situation. She kills him right in front of everyone including Mona who soon packs up her stuff and heads home. The outside world is a grey place filled with little to no real joy. While walking home with o

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Stargirl returns it's second episode and it picks up right where the pilot left off. Last time we saw Courtney she was straight in the sights of the villain Brainwave before Pat (her step dad and former sidekick to Starman) showed up in a giant robot suit he built. Pat offers Courtney the hand of the robot to climb on top of it before they shoot off into the night sky leaving Brainwave behind with a lot more questions than answers. Back home and Pat explains everything to Courtney that he possibly can. He mentions that on the night where the JSA were wiped out they were fighting a group named the Injustice Society. A force of highly powerful villains whose leader Icicle ended up killing Starman. Starman who Courtney is stilled convinced is her father. Pat also mentions that Hourman who was another member of the JSA did manage to escape that fateful night but would later end

Legends Of Tomorrow 5x12 : I Am Legends review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Legends Of Tomorrow returns once more with what very well could be the best episode this season yet. It begins inside of Constantine's home as the Legends are still immortal from last week's ending where they drank from the Chalice of Dinoysus. All are immortal apart from Zari who didn't drink from the Chalice. She does however have a countdown on her phone which when it gets to 0 will end the immortal time period. When they all go to step outside and back onto the waverider they see that it's nowhere to be found which means they're stranded in England and Astra has betrayed them which is not surprising at all really. Being stuck in England really isn't all bad though as Ava remembers that Rip Hunter once mentioned that the Time Bureau had a number of safe houses throughout the world that house the means to get back aboard the waverider. One such safe ho

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Meet Courtney Whitmore a teenager whose entire life gets uprooted when she and her family move from California to Nebraska. What follows is a the birth of a new generation of hero. Our journey begins 10 years in the past however as we see a man driving at a frantic pace. This turns out to be Pat Dugan the sidekick to the superhero Starman. Starman is a part of the Justice Society Of America (JSA for short) a group of superhero's who fought together for many years to defend the planet. Pat Dugan soon arrives at the location where the JSA are doing battle with a number of villains. On the inside things don't look good for the hero's as they all disappear and get badly hurt one by one. Hero's like Captain Midnight, Hourman and more are all injured while Starman does his best to fight back against the villains who are Brainwave and Icicle with more helping. It looks

Supergirl 5x19 : Immortal Kombat review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Supergirl's fifth season has come and gone and with it we got intense action, a twist and a sense of comfort going forward. The episode begins where last week's ended with Lex finally getting his invitation onto the Leviathan ship. He makes his way on board as it lies beyond the casino that we've previously seen earlier in the season. Upon entering he begins to gasp for breath. Given that the air is different inside he is given something to aid him. Rama Khan doesn't seem too keen on having Lex on board and along with 2 more elemental changers sets off to kill Supergirl and friends once and for all with the Kyrptonite he got in last week's episode. There's actually a really nice shot of Lex's face with the Kryptonite glowing green in his face. A little smirk comes across his face as the episode cuts to the show's logo. Back at Kara's apartmen

Batwoman 1x20 : O, Mouse! review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Batwoman's season finale has come and gone and with it a lot of questioned were answered but there was also a lot more to take in as season 1 ends with no season 2 until early 2021. The episode begins as we see an escaped inmate from Arkham making his way onto the Gotham subway. Wielding two blades he threatens people before he ends up actually killing a man in cold blood. Jacob and Kate Kane soon turn up battling off the giant man whose name is Tim Teslow. Nicknamed Tim ''The Titan'' Teslow we learn that he used to play football for the Gotham Giants but it all ended awfully with him snapping the neck of a referee after he didn't agree with a decision he made. We later learn that his brother testified against him in court which led to him being sent to Arkham. His story doesn't end there as he is out and looking for revenge for not only his brother

The Flash 6x19 : Success Is Assured review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  The Flash's season 6 finale has come and gone and with it we're left with more questions than answers. The episode begins with Eva showing up in full on Mirror gear. She is seen talking with David Singh who says that Success Is Assured. Her plan is coming to fruition and it's only a matter of time before her husband Joseph Carver gets what is coming to him. Next we see Barry who meets up with Nash, Cecil, Alegra and Ralph at his office in CCPD. They're meeting there because Barry says he as a ton of cases to catch up on and he doesn't want to lose his job as well as his speed. A major plot point gets discovered here and it's a diamond that Ralph had previously gotten from Sue Dearbon. A diamond that when UV light is powered onto it reveals a sort of treasure map / symbol that when placed on the Central City map leads to Joseph Carver / Black Hole's m

Legends Of Tomorrow 5x11 : Freaks and Geeks review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Another week and yet another wildly entertaining episode of Legends Of Tomorrow. The episode begins with the Legends further arguing about who gets to access and use the Lume of Faith with Charlie once they find a way to get the power to use it again. Constantine is going through research and comes across a special Chalice called the Chalice of Dinoysus which once ingested grants the person immortality for one single day. This leads to Nate recounting his college fraternity days where he stole a Chalice which looked strangely like the Chalice of Dinoysus in Constantine's notes. He tells everyone that his nickname was Shotgun Nate and that this Chalice is surely in Hudson University in the year 2020. So it's mission time once again and Ava is again placed in charge of the team as Sara continues to deal with being newly blind. Upon arrival and while blending in the Lege

Supergirl 5x18 : The Missing Link review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Supergirl's penultimate episode of season 5 is one of anguish, emancipation and war. Beginning with Lex and Brainy we learn that Lex is now closer than ever to getting his invitation onto the Leviathan ship. Brainy doesn't seem so sure of everything that's been happening even though he still has been helping Lex. A war is brewing says Lex between Leviathan and the Supers and given that Brainy had previously said that Leviathan is the world's greatest threat it seems right to only stop them. We see Kara and Alex meet a man named Pete Andrews. A friend of Kelly's who earlier in the season had been taken over by J'onn's brother. They go to see him as they try to figure out not only the location of Leviathan but what the symbols mean in various old pictures of catastrophic events. What they don't know is that while they're meeting Pete, Gemma Coo

Batwoman 1x19 : A Secret Kept From All the Rest review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  The penultimate episode of Batwoman's first season kicks off in a big way as we see the villainous Tommy Elliott who the press have named Hush on a rampage in Gotham's library. He is there to kidnap a professor whom he Alice and Mouse believe can decade Lucius's journal which at the end of last week's episode is written entirely in code. Speaking of the journal and after being totally fooled by Regan last week Kate pays her a visit and learns that not only does she not have the journal anymore but she gave it to her sister who also just so happens to be Magpie as we know. Regan isn't seen anymore after this scene but she does mention two things. First is that Magpie traded the journal with someone for her freedom from Arkham and secondly after everything that happened when she took the journal last week she got payed a visit from Julia who put a knife to her

The Flash 6x18 : Pay the Piper review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Oh boy if the term pep talk didn't have meaning before this episode of The Flash it surely has one now. The episode begins with Barry paying Joe a visit as he is still in Witness Protection. He tells him about Iris being trapped in the mirrorverse and how the Iris he saw before leaving for his own safety was a fake duplicate. Joe mentions how he knew something was up because of how Iris was acting especially towards Barry. Maybe say something next time eh Joe? back at Star Labs and Barry is becoming increasingly frustrated by everything going on. Cisco doesn't help as he talks about how he has been living with a duplicate of Kamila the past five weeks or so. With no real plan of action he has a pop at Barry who loses it for a moment. Back in the mirrorverse and we see Iris recording a message for Barry. Even when apart they're together she says as she also mentions

Legends Of Tomorrow 5x10 : Ship Broken review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Legends Of Tomorrow returns with another over the top but highly entertaining episode. It begins with Mick who we see walking towards his daughter in a park. He says that her mom said he could have her for the weekend which leads to him suggesting a father/daughter weekend together for them both. His daughter disagrees at first as she has to study and do everything else someone of her age usually has to do but her tune soon changes as Mick lets her onto the wave rider first revealing it to her. On board the weaving of The Lume of Faith begins with Charlie first warming herself up. Everyone is present including Gary who has a dog now for emotional support after the emotional distress and anxiety he suffered are going to Hell and back in last week's episode. The dog will be more important later but now the weaving begins and after fusing all the rings together Charlie singles
