Arrow 8x3 : Leap of Faith review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Nanda Parbat. That's the location of this week's episode of Arrow and once again it's a really enjoyable throwback to past seasons of this show. Beginning with the re-introduction of Thea Queen who first starts off fighting with Oliver. They both notice who each are and sit down by a fire to discuss everything that's happening. Oliver tells Thea that he is here to learn more about a cosmic being known as Mar Novu. He tells her that he has seen the future and that something is coming and that he will die. Thea's reaction at first was absolutely god awful but it's soon fleshed out more as she mentions how Oliver has cheated death so many times over the years. We learn what Thea has been doing and she with Nyssa's help has destroyed all the Lazarus Pit's over the world. Nyssa isn't here however as she's away doing League work apparently. Wit

Beginning at Central City hospital inside we see that Ramsey Rosso is looking for more blood after last week's ending. He thinks more blood will be a permanent cure to what he felt surge throughout him after he had ingested blood from last week's hulking zombie meta human. Inside the hospital he gets further into the building and finds blood..lots of it. After getting a call to investigate the following morning Barry is unconvinced that a meta human is the cause for the break in. Turns out 10 liters of blood was stolen which is even more odd to the team. Barry tries to convince him that if he could he would find a way

Supergirl 5x4 : In Plain Sight review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  After last week's episode of Supergirl things seem to be on the up again for this show and that trend continues once again here. Beginning with Kelly we see her walking around. Her mind thinks that people are watching her as she tries to find out if Ma'fael'ak is following her. He is but Kelly is also not who she seems. It's J'onn in disguise and he along with Supergirl, Alex and Brainy attempt to stop the Martian and send him back to the Phantom Zone. They are unsuccessful however as Ma'fael'ak retreats. Back at the DEO Supergirl gets everyone to agree to bring Lena in on the process as she can help with the ongoing situation as Brainy's mind is focused mainly on his ongoing problems with Nia. Lena agrees to help and for the first time this season we see Lena properly working with everyone on the team. Alex has a big idea and it's one that

Batwoman 1x4 : Who Are You? review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Batwoman's fourth episode begins a thief who has been stealing various valuables throughout the city. Kate narrates over the scene and says how hard it is to hide her new found identity as Batwoman. Speaking of Kate the first time we see her in this episode is in bed with Regan (the bartender from last week) the two have seemingly spent the night together and with nothing on the cards look set to spend even more time together. That's all cut short as Kate gets a call from Luke to come to Wayne Enterprises right away. Kate proceeds to come up with a god awful lie about a water leak and gets away saying that she will make it up to Regan. At Wayne Enterprises people from the Museum are inside the main office where Luke and Kate talk about this new thief in Gotham. Luke says she's stolen a number of valuables and that Batwoman was nowhere to be found. Kate remarks back

Arrow 8x2 : Welcome to Hong Kong review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Last week Earth 2, this week Hong Kong wow Arrow really is pulling out all the nonstop fan service for it's final season and it's totally right to do so. Beginning with flash's of Oliver's life and those important to him he is awoken in a bed by none other than The Monitor himself. Oliver questions him on why and what happened at the end of lat week's episode as Earth 2 was literally engulfed by Anti-Matter energy. The Monitor responds by saying that it was a sacrifice that needed to be made to show him the impact that Oliver's actions had on him interfering with Earth 2's problems. He has another task for Oliver however. Find and bring him a doctor named Robert Wong. Why?? well The Monitor doesn't take too well to answering questions and leaves before anything else is said. This is when Diggle arrives and upon exiting Oliver's room the duo g

The Flash 6x3 : Dead Man Running review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  We are now 3 episodes into The Flash's sixth season and as of right now it is absolutely stellar. This episode picks off more or less where last week's ended with the guy who Ramsey was getting Dark Matter off of waking up. We're brought to a warehouse where inside various gang member talk about the guy whose name is Mitch Romero. He hasn't returned at all and just as the gang is about to take the Dark Matter for themselves the power cuts to the entire building. One by one they are picked off by what is obviously Romero. The following day Barry is called to investigate the scene and brings along Killer Frost who is still trying to find her own purpose and meaning. They find Dark Matter vials / guns emptied at the scene. Barry asks who could've done this and Frost responds with ''Only a coward'' almost immediately the next thing we see is Ki

Supergirl 5x3 : Blurred Lines review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Can Supergirl bounce back after what I thought last week was one of it's poorest and most overall bad episodes in some time?? the episode begins in a club where we see a William Day talking to some man. He says that it's a bad idea to turn down joining us (could he mean Leviathan?) the man again says no and as he walks deeper into the club meets a woman. The next thing we see is the two of them in a bathroom kissing. The woman who is covered in spider tattoo's and without hesitation kills the man with a spider that grows from her skin and invades the man's body killing him almost instantly. Back at Cat. Co we learn that the man who was killed was actually a young up and coming doctor who Kara interviewed last year. Kara can't believe that a man as young as 33 just ups and dies from a heart attack which is being reported. Kara uses her X-ray vision on Willi

Batwoman 1x3 : Down, Down, Down review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Batwoman's third ever episode begins with more flashbacks. This time of a young Beth who we see walking around. We then see Alice who is obviously dreaming what is happening as the dream progresses. It comes to an abrupt end when Beth picks up what looks to be a human face in water or something that really resembles it. Alice wakes up instantly and soon after continues her torment once again of Kate by first using the bat signal. Even going as far as to play shadow puppets with her hands to draw Kate to her. She succeeds and the sisters have a chat which includes Kate saying that she wants Alice to not kill for 24 to assess her and Alice agreeing before putting a bat to the bat signal. At Wayne Enterprises Kate walks into Bruce's office and is surprised to see none other than Tommy Elliot sitting in her cousin's chair. He turns around and greets Kate saying th

Zombieland : Double Tap review

Image
It's been just about 10 years since the first Zombieland movie released and at the time I loved it a lot. To this day I watch it every Spooky season and when they first announced this sequel I got to admit I was a bit skeptical. Is there really a need for this?? would it be destroy the first movie's uniqueness?? well there is 2 answers to those and questions and they are no and no. Zombieland Double Tap follows on from the first movie. Tallahassee, Columbus, Little Rock and Wichita all return. The movie begins with them finding a new home in the heartlands of America. The White House! everything seems to be going well for the little family. Wichita and Columbus are dating and have been for a while. Tallahassee is content with his car the beast and Little Rock?? well her rebellious side really begins to break through and she tires quickly of Tallahassee's constant force to protect her. Columbus only goes and drives the knife further in by proposing to Wichita who along wi

Arrow 8x1 : Starling City review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  Arrow's eight and final season has arrived and with only 10 episodes it has a lot to get through including the impending Crisis. The episode begins on Lian Yu of all places. We see a hooded Oliver running throughout the island. He lights a bonfire with an explosive arrow to help an incoming boat identify him. He is soon rescued and brought home and it is from here on where I just had no idea what was going on..but that was only temporary. While at Starling General Oliver's mom walks in and welcomes her son home. Seemingly having suffered through the same ordeal he did before this show began Oliver arrives home to find things are completely different in Starling City. Yes Starling City not Star City. Moira and Malcolm Merlyn are married, Tommy Merlyn lives with them and Thea?? well Thea during her 18th birthday overdosed and passed away. Tommy seems crushed by this and k

The Flash 6x2 : A Flash of the Lightning review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  The second episode of The Flash's sixth season begins where last week's ended. Moments after The Monitor leaves we see Barry and Iris discussing what they have just learned. On December 10th The Flash must die to save millions of lives. It's pretty grim stuff but Barry seems willing to accept his fate at first. Iris on the other hand is strongly against Barry dying and vows that they will come up with something. All of this leads to Barry coming up with a plan, to go to the future, go to December 11th which is the day after he is supposed to die. What follows is Barry travelling through the speedforce as normal but he gets stopped by a giant barrier of anti matter. Sent back to where he left Iris he is badly hurt and if he wasn't a speedster that would have vaporized him almost immediately. This leaves him with no choice but to go see Jay Garrick on Earth-3. J

Gemini Man review

Image
On paper Gemini Man's premise isn't all that bad. An over the hill hitman about to retire is forced to come face to face with a younger clone version of himself. In execution however...Gemini Man follows Henry Brogan (Will Smith) an about to retire hitman. Deemed as one of the best shooters ever in his profession his retire is cut short as while out fishing he meets an undercover agent in Danny (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) who has been tasked with looking over what he does and where he goes. After Henry meets an old friend of his he learns that his latest victim isn't exactly who he was told he was in his file and there's trouble ahead. What follows is one of the most uninspired, uninteresting and downright bad movies of 2019. It's hard to take because the amount of star power on show here is stellar and with someone with a track record as good as Ang Lee behind the camera you'd expect a lot more.  Performance wise things aren't as grim as both Smith and W

Supergirl 5x2 : Stranger Beside Me review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  The second episode of Supergirl's fifth season begins pretty much like last week's as we see Kara stopping a massive car crash from happening. Basic setup and that is what is wrong with this episode right from the get go. It's extremely basic. Soon after Kara's heroics we're shown Kelly & Alex having breakfast. Kelly informs Alex that she is allergic to Blueberries which Alex really overreacts to. Kelly says it's fine as they're still getting used to one another. Nia and Brainy are too having their own little issues as Brainy seems to be over compensating way too much. He brings Nia breakfast in bed, brings her orders of sushi at work and even orders pizza's for her. The two eventually work things out as Nia says to cool down on the food and just be there for her and spend time with her. This entire process was pointless and to be honest did
