BlackKkKlasnman review

Image
Based on true events BlackKkKlansman follows the story of Ron Stallworth. An African-American police officer from Colorado USA, who manages to successfully infiltrate the local Ku Klux Klan with the help of a white surrogate who eventually ends up becoming the head of the branch. Starring Adam Driver and John David Washington BlackKkKlansman is a strong and deep delve into the cult. Directed by Spike Lee it really leaves little to the imagination as it depicts the group's history background and members and is overall a really enjoyable and interesting experience. Both John David Washington and Adam Driver play the character Ron Stallworth. Washington does the talking over the phone to get into the Klan's good books while Driver shows up to meet the members in person. And boy oh boy are some of these members terrifying. Especially one member named Felix who is constantly on top of Ron in the flesh as he is convinced he is a jew. This leads to him becoming easily the most fa

Christopher Robin review

Based around the stories of Winnie The Pooh and his friend Christopher Robin this movie almost feels like a complete overhaul of the original classic tale. It tells the story of Christoper Robin played by Ewan McGregor who after growing up and having to deal with real life situations forgets his past friends as the real world begins to fully take over his life. He has a good job, he's married and he has a daughter but all he seems to care for his is work. And just as he is about to head away to his old cottage with his family he is tasked by his job to come up with cost cutting measures in order for the company to survive. This causes Christopher to pull out of the planned trip thus leaving his wife and daughter to go on their own. As they set off work takes a strong hold of Christopher and one day as he takes a moment to himself he sits on a park bench, but soon after behind him appears his very old friend Winnie The Pooh. Pooh tells him why he's here and it turns out all C

Ant-Man And The Wasp review

I really enjoyed the first Ant-Man movie. At the time of it's release it felt like such a breath of fresh air into the MCU. It had a solid lead in Paul Rudd and showcased the character of Ant-Man off in a really cool way that wasn't seen in any of Marvel movies beforehand. But with it's sequel which introduces some new characters can it keep the good times rolling? well yes and no. At times Ant-Man And The Wasp is hilarious with some really impressive action sequences which involving shrinking down into miniature sizes and literal body expanding between our hero's Ant-Man And The Wasp. But at other times it's painfully not funny with some really forced jokes that didn't manage to even raise a grin. The cast are really good throughout here as Paul Rudd again is brilliant as Ant-Man and Evangeline Lily is also good as The Wasp and the two really share a nice dynamic together as we saw in the first movie. With a returning Michael Douglas and Laurence Fishburne
