The Flash 8x9 : Phantoms review

Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. After last weeks stellar episode of The Flash can it continue that form this week as the mystery of a new serial killer in Central City continues. The episode opens up with Iris who is seen talking to Dion questioning him about the things she has been experiencing recently. She tells him of what happened and how forgetful she has been to which he mentions time sickness? he isn't sure what is going on with her and tells her that he needs to go talk about her with the other force holders. So Iris is pretty much left in the dark until the end of the episode which I will talk about at the end of this review. Back at Star Labs and everyone is knee deep in investigation mode still. Everything changes when Chester enters and tells them that he has developed a new piece of tech that once positioned onto the Star Labs satellite will detect any form of cold fusion within t

Superman & Lois 2x9 : 30 Days and 30 Nights review

Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. This weeks episode of Superman and Lois features little to no Superman and somehow manages to be an excellent character driven episode which take some doing. But they did it and they did it really well. The episode opens up with Ally Alston being released from her D.O.D prison by one of her followers. She is given a suit which will allow her to go inside of the portal that we last saw in the mines. She ventures inside and vanishes into the portal seemingly going to the other side. We're shown Clark and Lois in bed which leads to him hearing the commotion and rushing off. Superman arrives in the mines but is told he is too late and that without proper protection he won't be able to traverse the portal. Superman begins to fly around the area just outside of the portal creating a big pool of air. He emerges from it and goes straight through the portal screaming

The Flash 8x8 : The Fire Next Time review

Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. After last weeks pretty poor episode of The Flash can this weeks episode heat things up again (bad pun intended) the episode opens up inside of a bar as the owner says goodbye to a worker. Things take a sinister turn almost immediately when the owner goes to pick up a bar stool. It burns his hand instantly but also a wall of steam begins to emit from the bar with a beer glass that was half full beginning to bubble and boil. Someone is in the bar but we and the owner can't see them. The bar owner is killed by the sheer force of fire as we soon see his charred corpse at the crime scene. But before we get there Barry and Iris are seen together at their home. Upon looking at the calendar that they have hanging it becomes clear that the date which is February 1st is very important to Barry as he brushes off a date night with Iris before saying that he is doing alright

Superman & Lois 2x8 : Into Oblivion review

Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Superman and Lois returns from it's short hiatus with an interesting episode to say the least. It begins one year in the past as we see Natalie's reaction to her dad leaving to go fight the Superman of their Earth. As we know while doing this John Henry went into a portal that had opened leading to him arriving on Earth Prime. Natalie who notices something is wrong gets into an escape pod of her own and is in pursuit of her dad. Things all come crashing down when Crisis On Infinite Earth's kicked in which lead to the portal opening after a giant wave of dark matter shots across the galaxy. We're soon back in modern time and see Natalie at the hospital with John Henry who is doing a lot better than since we last saw him. Clark and Lois enter the room to which John Henry says he has all he needs in his two girls..Natalie and Lois. Of course this isn'

The Flash 8x7 : Lockdown review

Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. After last weeks return and a rather great episode this weeks episode of The Flash falls right back into the traps that have plagued this show for quite some time now. The episode opens up with Alegra and Chester at Star Labs with Chester not wanting to take anytime away from the main computer in case any crimes or alien invasions take place while he is gone. Alegra soon turns up with lunch for them both but it's not long before crimes are reported within the city. 3 in fact. The Flash is on it he says over communications and we see him on it indeed as he rounds him criminals and brings them to CCPD. Upon arrival he gets the usual applause but Kristen Kramer doesn't exactly seem at all pleased with more criminals just being dropped off at her precinct. The Flash races off and Barry arrives running down the steps above the main office. He talks to Kramer who t

The Flash 8x6 : Impulsive Excessive Disorder review

Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. The Flash returns after what felt like an age away. The last time we saw Team Flash they have survived and overcome Armageddon together. The episode actually doesn't open up in present day but back at the end of season 7 when Iris and Barry renewed their wedding vows. We see Barry and Iris talking to Nora and Bart before wishing them on their way. Barry tells them to keep the future safe. Bart and Nora are soon off to the future and arrive in 2049 with everything seemingly in place. That is until a wave of energy flies right past them leaving plenty of changes in it's wake. The first of these changes is that Jay Garrick is alive in the future as he arrives at the apartment complete with Big Belly Burger in hand. Nora is shocked by seeing Jay Garrick of course but it's Bart who is really taken a back because as we know Jay has been his mentor of sorts in b

Superman & Lois 2x7 : Anti-Hero review

Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. This weeks episode of Superman and Lois is most definitely a tale of two halves. The first half while not bad by any means really pales in comparison to what unfolds in the second half. The episode begins where last weeks ended with Superman being transported to the same prison cell as his brother Tal-Rho. Here it is completely covered in a red light which diminishes all power within a Kryptonian. It is inside of these cell walls where a lot of the first half of the episode takes place as Superman is left to talk with his so called brother. They soon get a visit from L.T Anderson who once again asks that Superman help him by telling him of Bizarro's location. Superman doesn't say anything instead once again insists that Ally Alston is the real guilty party and threat here. Anderson's anger and frustration grows throughout the episode before coming to a bo

The Batman review

After numerous delays and major shooting problems Matt Reeves The Batman finally lands in theaters across the world. Right of the bat (sorry that was awful I know) you get a sense that this is a Batman movie unlike any other. Firstly there is the introduction of both The Riddler quickly followed by The Batman himself and they couldn't be anymore different. The Riddlers introduction is very horror like complete with using the darkness to his advantage before his plan to rid the corrupt of Gotham into action. Immediately the character is a big threat and becomes more and more so as the movie goes on. As for when the Dark Knight himself arrives his introduction is nothing short of sublime. Matt Reeves nails every character aspect as Batman narrates over his intro complete with him talking about how the bat-signal isn't just a call for help it's a symbol of fear for the lowlifes and thugs running around the streets. It's beautifully shown as thugs and criminals a like run

Batwoman 3x13 : Are We Having Fun Yet? review

Image
Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. The third season of Batwoman has come to and end and with it we got quite arguably the best episode this season, a gratifying victory for Ryan and Team Batwoman but also a look at what lies ahead as a new threat emerges from the wake of chaos and destruction. The episode begins as Marquis discovers The Joker's original plan of pure genocide on Gotham City the day that Marquis and Alice were born. The Joker was going to rain down bombs of acid on the city via the Bat-Blimp. It's a plan that Marquis intends on seeing through himself and goes right ahead with it by starting off with a warning of revealing Batwoman's identity to the whole city. How did he manage to broadcast himself to the whole city? he used the Wayne Enterprises satellite which Luke says Batman had in possession to use in case he ever had to talk to the people and send out an SOS. So with M

Legends Of Tomorrow 7x13 : Knocked Down, Knocked Up review

Image
Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. The season finale of Legends of Tomorrow has come and gone and with it we were introduced to an iconic DC Comics time traveler from the future and had to say goodbye to a much loved figure from this show. The episode begins right where last weeks ended with Gary getting sucked out of the waverider into the tempural zone. Gary in his Alien form falls into the time stream and ends up in 30,000 BC of all places. He is greeted by prehistoric primitive men to whom he ends up becoming sort of friends with. That is until he is able to find a door which he uses his copy of Constantine's key to get back home and be with the Legends. But before that we're treated to the first of many weeks where the Legends meet up post retirement. Everyone is present as they share and talk about their lives. It's Sara and Ava who have the biggest news however and it entails them h

Superman & Lois 2x6 : Tried and True review

Image
Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Another week and yet another stellar episode of Superman and Lois. This weeks episode opens up with a look at Bizarro and just how he not only came to our Superman's world but how he became to despise Ally Alston and come into possession of her pendant. The intro plays over a song as we see Bizarro fighting not just soldiers but even a super-powered Lana which I was not expecting to storming into Ally's office and taking the pendant right from her neck before putting on his containment suit. His containment suit that is fitted with a sort of drill which he uses to drill into the mines which is how he arrived in Superman's world in the mines which led to him becoming stranded with no way of getting back. The intro parallels perfectly to the ending which I'll get into at the ending segment. At the end of last weeks episode Lana and Sarah found out that
