The Flash 4x12 : Honey I Shrunk Team Flash review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it Honey I Shrunk Team Flash is quite the unique title for an episode but with that being said it gave us one of the most weird yet brilliant episodes of The Flash ever in my opinion.   The episode begins at Joe's house as him and Cecil sort through some stuff for the baby. A minute or so passes and Cecil learns that she can now read minds (which is completely random and out of the blue) she reads Joe's mind a couple of times and throughout the episode she reads all other Team Flash members minds and it is actually pretty hilarious. Iris suggests she and Joe go to see Dr Finkel a returning character from earlier this season. As Caitlin does some tests on Cecil she tells her these powers are due to being pregnant and her still having dark matter in her brain from the first particle accelerator explosion and they might not be permanent. This whole part of the episode was a r

Supergirl 3x12 : For Good review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it This week's episode begins as Kara awakens from a nightmarish dream of Reign and the other World Killers. Back at the DEO and Winn Jon Kara and Mon-El talk and try to think just how these World Killers have existed and why they are only starting to arrive now, are they genetically enhanced? ore are they something much more dangerous?. Mon-El mentions that the Legion have fought General Zod in the future who though Superman has defeated him in the past. It's hilarious just how Finn freaks out over this. Onto Alex and after agreeing to help Samantha in last week's episode she takes her to have an MRI to try and find out what is actually wrong with her, these test results actually come back perfectly clear as Samantha continues to freak out over what is happening to her. These ''Blackouts'' she is suffering is purely because of Reign but she doesn't

Arrow 6x11 : We Fall review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it This week's episode begins with a city wide electronic attack by Cayden James who now has complete control over all things connected to the internet. This attack leaves the city reeling as there is plenty of casualties. Including a councilman and police captain Frank Pike. This really hits Quentin hard as him and Pike had been friends (and sometimes enemies) for years on the force together.   Back at Oliver's place and we learn that William is now a complete badass at math thanks to Felicity even going as far as to be 12 grade level in only a few months. William prepares to leave for his school trip as Cayden James further tightens his grip on the city. Cayden decides to pay Mayor Queen a visit and once again accuses him of murdering his son exactly one year ago which Oliver does not recall doing as Felicity later tells him that exactly one year ago he was in Hub City rec

The Flash 4x11 : The Elongated Knight Rises review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it This week's episode begins as we see Barry sitting in his jail cell as chaos reigns between prisoners on the outside. Barry uses his powers and cleans up the mess locking everyone back up in the process. As the scene ends it's shown that Barry has written under his dad's message in the cell that we saw last week. ''Henry Allen was here'' now it also says ''So was Barry'' a nice sentiment between deceased father and son.  Skip to Central City and as a criminal holds a building hostage Ralph rushes to the rescue and we're treated to his first success against criminals on his own without anyone else's help. This causes him to get a big ego a bit and later he comes crashing back down to earth after getting seriously hurt but more on that later. As Barry is in prison he meets Axel Walker a returning character from season 1. The Tri

Coco review

Image
Pixar Animation Studios have done it again. Coco is so much more than just a simple kids movie it is amazingly balanced well thought out heartwarming and executed to absolute perfection. The story follows a young boy named Miguel an aspiring musician who is confronted with his family ancestral ban on music. This causes young Miguel to enter the land of the dead to try and find his great-great-grandfather a world famous and beloved musician. That's the story in a nutshell and while it is simple the characters and animation is what really bring it to life. Instantly likable Miguel is a charming boy who you will always find yourself rooting for. He is joined on his quest throughout the land of the dead by Hector a rejected man who cannot enter the realm of the living as his daughter is forgetting him. I won't go anymore into the story as it is full of spoilers but there is a twist here that is just a masterstroke and Pixar again prove they have the unique gift of storytelling

Supergirl 3x11 : Fort Rozz review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it This week's episode begins as Kara Samantha and Ruby pay Alex a visit. Alex who is still in her leg brace from last week's episode. As Samantha gets called away Alex agrees to babysit Ruby and we get some really heartwarming scenes between the two. All things are honestly leading to Alex adopting Ruby after Reign's identity is revealed or at least that's how I see things playing out. More on Ruby & Alex later. Back at the DEO Jon and Winn learn of a High Priestess captured on Fort Rozz that is now orbiting a blue star which is both poison to males and makes Supergirl basically powerless. This causes Kara to recruit two familiar faces. First there is the ever awesome Livewire who really is just a badass in this episode and PSY a character from earlier on in the season with brain exploit powers. Imra also agrees to tag along and the attack on Fort Rozz begin

Arrow 6x10 : Divided review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it Arrow returns and with it such an epic episode that while not the best episode this season it is pretty close to being so.  The episode begins as Cayden James Ricardo Diaz and Black Siren invade the office of one of the last remaining Bertanelli family members and offer to purchase his port in the Star City harbor. He of course refuses to which Laurel uses her powers on him and Cayden James tells him he has 48 hours to consider their offer or else his daughter will be getting a visit by them at her college in New York. A pretty simple start to the episode but it set things up well. Back at the Bunker and as John Oliver and Felicity talk about the on going situation Curtis arrives with his new technology that he hopes will fix Dig's tremor in his hand. It fails but as it does Felicity notices some major signal interruption. Turns out it is the bug that we see Cayden and his

Darkest Hour review

Image
Gary Oldman stars as Wintson Churchill the once Prime Minister of the Great Britain. This thrilling and inspiring true story begins on the eve of World War II as within just a number of days of actually becoming Prime Minister Churchill must face one of his hardest tests in his life. The impending war with Germany led by Heir Hitler. Backed by some really good performances from both Kirstin Scott Thomas as Oldman's on screen partner and Lily James who I've always been a big admirer of who's performance is absolutely charming and it's not just those two that are good here. This movie is lead by an absolutely incredible performance by Gary Oldman. Almost unrecognizable Oldman plays the part of Winston Churchill almost too well at times. He's arrogant in the face of war and quite somber in the face of defeat. The way his character develops over the course of the movie is also really good and shows just how hard it really was during war times for not only the people

The Flash 4x10 : Trial Of The Flash review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. The Flash is back and with it brings us a very familiar storyline to comic book readers. The Trail Of The Flash gets underway as Barry is on trial for the murder of Clifford Devoe in the mid season finale. Now under the microscope he doesn't seem all that worried about even going to prison as he says he will do anything to protect his identity which means that he is unwilling to testify in court and provide a credible case for himself.  As all this is happening a new meta appears in Central City with the ability to make any person he comes into contact with collapse from stomach issues or exhaustion and is also a nuclear bomb jut waiting to explode upon the city. Cisco calls this meta Fallout which is a hilarious nod to the game of the same name and almost identical situation. Barry races to the rescue later in the episode even though he is supposed to be in court but he m

Supergirl 3x10 : Legion Of Superheros review

Image
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Supergirl is back and can I just say what an episode to come back with. It's full to the absolute brim with action drama and everything else in between. The episode begins as right away we're introduced to Brainiac 5 as he is able to get inside of Kara's brain as she is still in a coma after what happened with Reign during the mid season finale. As Brainiac 5 rummages around her brain trying to find a way for Kara to awaken we're introduced to Kara's very own pet cat Streaky from the comics. Not sure what the show will do with this but even so it was a really nice little nod to the comics.  All while that is going on Reign is continuing to terrorize National City proclaiming to basically kill anyone and everything that she feels has done the city wrong in any way. Side note on Reign actually we see her as Samantha again and she looks absolutely normal w

The Greatest Showman review

Image
The Greatest showman is a lot of things. It's at it's absolute best in it's many musical numbers which feature original songs from the Greatest Show to Never Enough to The Other Side to everything else in between that are all a joy to watch as the choreography is just sublime and so easy on the ears to listen to. The opening scene is absolutely spectacular and really sets up the movie so well. It's hard not to just fall in love with the movie right from the get go.While it's at it's worst during it's love story element which really hinders the whole thing and takes you out of the movie after every music scene. Hugh Jackman stars as P.T. Barnum a man who after losing his job opens his own Museum in New York City which fails to do any business. This leads him to creating his very own freak show full of wonderful and exotic people who have mainly been shunned from the masses due to how they look and act. Barnum creates his very own 'circus' as a crit
