Wicked Little Letters review

Image
This story is more true than you'd think beckons this movie as it begins and that couldn't be more true as Wicked Little Letters has quite the story to tell. Right off the bat the level of swearing and profanity on show here is not for the faint of heart. Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley lead the charge as two women from two completely different backgrounds. Colman a secluded and God whorshipping who lives with her parents while Buckley an Irish immigrant now living in the UK after the death of her husband in the war. Their relationship takes a sour turn when letters filled with vulgur language begin to appear at Colman's doorstep every morning which her mother and father take immense offence to.  The letters don't seem to be stopping and even more get them so it's off to the police to report what is going on and it takes a turn for the worst for Buckley's character after she is seemingly charged with the offence of both writing and distributing these letters.

Madame Web review

Image
After the disaster that was Morbius Sony is back with another attempt at it's seemingly never ending attempt to create their own universe of villains turned anti-hero projects the latest Madame Web is not a good step in the right direction however. Now first off let me begin by saying that Madame Web has one of the worst villains I think I've ever seen. His motivations are dumb, his acting is horrendous and as a whole he just did not work whatsoever. There's also some very strange moments where it's like he is speaking but his lips aren't even moving which was so odd that it really took me out of the movie. There is some positives here and while they are few and far between I will say that Dakota Johnson is actually okay here..kinda. I mean she's not great or anything but she does do okay with the script given to her.  Y'know Madame Web as a whole is just uninteresting and not thought provkoing whatsoever. It's really bland and forgetable which is the

Argylle review

Image
Henry Cavill's first big movie post Superman and The Witcher is a super spy thriller unlike any other you'll see all year long. Sporting a pretty stellar cast including Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, John Cena, Dua Lipa and more Argylle tells the story of well..Argylle a super spy who is on the trail of something called the master file that will aid in helping him and his team bring down an entire orginization. There's just one problem. Argylle is actually just a character in a series of books penned by someone named Elly Conway (Dalls Howard) who at the beginning of the movie is working on her fifth book in the Argylle series. Her life is turned upside down when life imitates art as the world of spies and espionage come crushing down all around her. That's about as much as I can say when it comes to the story as anything further would be pretty much in the spoiler zone.  Directed by Matthew Vaughn Argylle is highly entertaining and wildly chaotic.
