Supergirl 3x11 : Fort Rozz review
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it
This week's episode begins as Kara Samantha and Ruby pay Alex a visit. Alex who is still in her leg brace from last week's episode. As Samantha gets called away Alex agrees to babysit Ruby and we get some really heartwarming scenes between the two. All things are honestly leading to Alex adopting Ruby after Reign's identity is revealed or at least that's how I see things playing out. More on Ruby & Alex later.
Back at the DEO Jon and Winn learn of a High Priestess captured on Fort Rozz that is now orbiting a blue star which is both poison to males and makes Supergirl basically powerless. This causes Kara to recruit two familiar faces. First there is the ever awesome Livewire who really is just a badass in this episode and PSY a character from earlier on in the season with brain exploit powers. Imra also agrees to tag along and the attack on Fort Rozz begins. As they arrive they are almost right away presented with a fight as a prisoner attacks them after seeing Kara's symbol questioning that how dare she board the prison wearing it. They all manage to subdue her and the search for the high priestess resumes. As these Reign like monsters start appearing throughout the ship Reign herself learns that Supergirl and the others are on board Fort Rozz and sets off to stop them from ruining her plans and finding out more about her and these other 'World Killers' Kara herself learns of the others from the priestess but not before Reign straight up murders her and a big fight between everyone breaks out resulting in the loss of Livewire. I haven't really mentioned her character development in this episode but it was amazing. Even from the very first episode she appeared way back in season 1 her character has changed so much in a way that Mon-El explains to Kara at the end. God speed Leslie you will be missed on this show. PSY manages to inflict an attack on Reign and she loses control and begins to remember Ruby before fleeing.
Back onto Ruby and Alex and as Alex gets a text from Maggie looking for her lost passport Ruby tells her of a bully at school to which Alex agrees to help her with. What I didn't expect is for Alex to actually go to the girl's house and accuse her of breaking the law and threaten her with junior prison time. The girl of course chickens out and says she'll never do it again before Alex leaves but not before Ruby cracks a funny joke saying that there's another bully who pushed her in class to which Alex responds don't push your luck. It's all fun and it's all good to watch. The episode ends as a new World Killer awakens after being hit by a car while out walking with her friend. Her friend's reaction is really believable and I can't wait to see how Kara and the team are going to match up against this group of World Killers. I enjoyed this episode, while not brilliant by any means it was definitely enjoyable. Livewire being the major highlight here. Keep flying Kara what you're doing is amazing!
