The Flash 4x11 : The Elongated Knight Rises review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it

This week's episode begins as we see Barry sitting in his jail cell as chaos reigns between prisoners on the outside. Barry uses his powers and cleans up the mess locking everyone back up in the process. As the scene ends it's shown that Barry has written under his dad's message in the cell that we saw last week. ''Henry Allen was here'' now it also says ''So was Barry'' a nice sentiment between deceased father and son. Skip to Central City and as a criminal holds a building hostage Ralph rushes to the rescue and we're treated to his first success against criminals on his own without anyone else's help. This causes him to get a big ego a bit and later he comes crashing back down to earth after getting seriously hurt but more on that later. As Barry is in prison he meets Axel Walker a returning character from season 1. The Trickster's son who escapes prison thanks to his mom's plan and they both terrorize Central City much to the team's dismay. This causes Ralph to once again race to the rescue but he gets trumped by the Trickster as he sprays Ralph with some acid that burns Ralph causing him to become completely afraid of this path that he has chosen. He even goes to visit Barry who convinces him that it's okay to be afraid but a real hero overcomes his fears and saves people no matter the cost. Speaking of Barry he meets a new prison inmate who knew his father who Henry helped years ago this causes the guy (played by Goldberg) to help Barry whenever he can and the two bond. I actually really like the relationship that they share. It's totally believable.

Back onto Ralph and as Cisco makes him a new suit he rushes to the rescue of Cisco and Caitlin as they have gone and gotten captured by The Trickster and his mom who we're told used to be the original Trickster's partner named Prank. As Ralph arrives in his new suit complete with a typical hero speech. He overcomes the trickster duo and rescues his friends and while leaving he gets interviewed by a reporter and the name Elongated Man is born much to his dismay.
The episode ends as we see that girl from the crossover episode. The girl who was a waitress at Barry's wedding appear at Jitters as she talks to Cisco and Ralph who are buying some coffee. As they leave we see the girl writing some strange language on a notepad. No idea what is planned for her but it seems to me that she is most likely Barry and Iris's future daughter who has traveled through time to the past. I'm officially interested to see where this goes from here through to the end of the season.  I really liked this episode it was balanced really well between all characters and was just a really good entry this season. Keep this going Flash and you'll be back to your absolute best!
