Spiderman: Brand New Day review

 

The latest chapter of Spiderman in the MCU begins and with it comes a genuinely great movie that manages to juggle so many things really well without losing much quality. Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker / Spiderman and after the events of the previous movie he is all alone in NYC. Bad guys are popping up everywhere and Spiderman is doing Spidey things while Peter Parker gets put on the back burner. The movie opens with a great montage of both classic villains being apprehended and other various small time crimes being stopped by Spiderman. It's a perfect setup to a movie that introduces a ton of things from Sadie Sink's mysterious character to The Punisher playing a pretty chunky role to even a rampaging Hulk Brand New Day has got it all going on and as a whole l it handles everything well and doesn't rely on too many jokes which was very refreshing.

After the events of the previous movie No Way Home I do really love how much character development Peter Parker gets here throughout. From his ever changing power set that causes him to lose control and gain organic webbing to the real sense of despair he has whenever he's out of the costume it's all really well told and Tom Holland is arguably the best he's ever been throughout. I got to also give A+ because for like 80% of the movie Tom Holland is in the Spiderman costume and it really adds so much to both sides of his character whenever we do see him out of the suit. 


Spiderman: Brand New Day isn't perfect by any means but it is easily the best movie of 2026's blockbuster summer season and ranks pretty highly in overall quality of Spiderman movies as a whole. It's main villain is quite fascinating setting up potentially so many things in a movie that like I said has so many shifting parts. That being said it's just great fun and isn't that all we want from an MCU movie?? a Brand New Day has arrived indeed.

Gotham 5x1 : Year Zero review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it Gotham finally returns for it's fifth and sadly last season and with a run of only 12 episodes there is a lot to get through and eventually wrap up. It begins on Day 391 of No Man's Land as the final battle for Gotham comes to a head as Captain Gordon, Harvey Bullock, Riddler and even Penguin all suit up and get loaded for combat as all men led by many more GCPD officers open fire from a top a massive wall as Jim Gordon says ''For Gotham'' this of course is going to be the end of the season but let's go all the way back to day 87 of No Man's Land where we see Gordon talking to someone on a radio. He explains the situation currently going on in Gotham. Superman & Lois 3x13 : What Kills You Only Makes You Stronger review

                Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Season 3 of Superman and Lois has come to and end in the most devastatingly epic way. The finale opens up with Sam Lane telling Lois and Clark that Lex Luthor is nowhere to be found. Clark adds more to this by saying he can't hear him either but Lois is not convinced after all Lex did literally threaten her at the end of last weeks episode. A meteor shower is planned for the evening right at the center of Smallville town so you just know something is going to go down then and as expected something major does go down but more on that a bit later. As the boys leave the house Lois tells Clark that she is ready to be intimate again and the two fly off to a private secluded area where they can be together for the first time since Lois had her breasts removed due to her cancer.
