Now You See Me: Now You Don't review
Do you believe in magic??, Now You See Me has always been an interesting dualogy of movies so when I heard that a third movie was coming I was pretty skeptical especially so after not really enjoying the second all that much. Now You See Me combines, magic, illusions and heists all into one giant magic trick and while not always good or logical they've been somewhat enjoyable. So here we are with the third movie and I gotta say it's vastly superior to the second as although it doesn't have one major stand out scene like the card trick in the second movie overall it's a lot more solid featuring plenty of action, misdirects and mystery.
Jesse Eisenberg and his crew known as the Horsemen return after 10 years out of the spotlight. All brought back together when they're left a mysterious Tarot Card in their possession. We're given a bucket list of locations here including France, Belguim, Abu Dhabi and more. It's all part of the Horsemen's plan to steal a heart shaped Diamond from a philantropist played by Rosamund Pike who has such an off putting South African accent that sometimes drifts to Australian it really negates what is an otherwise run of the mill villain performance.
Of course the Horsemen aren't alone this time around as we get three new recruits who do offer a lot and the way they all bounce of one another is actually rather enjoyable and bolsters this movie a lot. In summary is Now You See Me: Now You Don't actually any good?? I would say yes, it is obviously absurd and way over the top but there is just enough charm here that makes it a fun night out at the movies.
