Bill & Ted Face the Music Review
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reunite once again for another excellent adventure through time with the mission of saving reality itself by writing the world's most greatest song which is to be used to unite everyone throughout every time period. Also along for the ride are Bill and Ted's now grown up daughters Thea and Billie. They embody their fathers to the point where they are just literally female versions of them. Having never seen the original Bill and Ted movies I went into this with an open mind and honestly this is a fun if at times silly adventure that pits out would be hero's against time, an evil time travelling robot that can dance and even Death himself.
Reeves and Winter are excellent here with both having an attitude that is so relaxed. Even when faced with couples therapy they look at everything with an open mind and that is something that leads them back down the path of time and space. Samara Weaving and Bridgette Lundy-Paine play their daughters and are good here also even if they are very similar to their dads. The role they end up playing ends up being the most important role in the entire movie as it all culminates in an ending that is full of hope, unity and excellency.
Bill & Ted Face the Music won't be the most perfect movie you'll ever see as some scenes aren't really needed. On the other hand the scenes where Bill & Ted meet their future selves are some of the true highlights as they offer plenty of the jokes and pokes at the future and present. When all is said and done and the world's greatest song is written Bill & Ted Face the Music is an enjoyable ride and one that is very much needed in today's world. Party on dudes and always be excellent to each other.
