Batman V Superman : Dawn Of Justice review.

Going to start this off by saying that I absolutely love this movie. And while the cinematic release isn't without some minor issues the extended version cleans them all up. Need to start this review off by saying just how perfect the casting is. Starting with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman..wow! to this day it's still one of my favorite entrances to a character in movie history. Will never forget the reaction for her in the theater when she appeared. Still get goosebumps just thinking about it. Onto Henry Cavill as Clark Kent / Superman and while he hasn't really changed much from Man Of Steel he's still pretty damn good at portraying the Kryptonian. Could definitely benefit from being a bit more on the mean side though. And lastly on the topic of characters and their portrayals you just don't get better than Ben Affleck's Batman / Bruce Wayne. Talk about comic accurate. Everything from his facial expressions to how he speaks is exactly how I've imagined Bruce / Batman in the comics. You can't ask for a better Batman in the DCEU and I really hope Ben Affleck sticks around to put on the cape and cowl for a long time to come.

There is some hilarious moments in this over 3 hour epic also. Alfred has some truly brilliant lines to counteract Bruce's seriousness. Special shoutout to the scene at Lex's party where Alfred scolds Bruce about finding a woman to settle down with to which he then replies with ''in your dreams Alfred'' that always gets me chuckling along. Now not everything is meant to be funny in this movie it's very dark at times and I love that. DC has all been a much darker tone to Marvel which I really do prefer, DC takes their movies in a lot more serious direction which I very much appreciate.

Onto the fight scenes and wow there aren't enough words to describe just how epic they are. Zack Snyder really nails the fighting style of Batman in every sense. Batman's brute force to those thugs in the famous warehouse scene is just incredible and is something you have to really witness I do it no justice by typing this. The actual Batman V Superman fight is also amazing, could have been a bit longer I think but other than that it delivered on what was an historic moment in comic book movie history. The ending battle with Doomsday is absolutely spectacular and features The Trinity Batman Superman and Wonder Woman coming together for the first time on screen. That shot of the 3 right before they start battling is just incredible. Doomsday is a massive threat in this one and actually overpowers Superman and Wonder Woman a lot. Found it hilarious how Batman is just hanging back the entirety of the fight otherwise he'd be pulverized in 2 seconds. The battle is something you have to watch if you're a DC fan, not going to spoil anything but the ending is amazing and unexpected the first time I saw considering this is only the 2nd DCEU movie.

Now onto even more performances. Amy Adams ups her game as Lois Lane in this movie, definitely more comic book accurate than she was in Man Of Steel. Wish she was still used more than just someone for Superman to save sometimes but it is what it is. Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, this is probably an unpopular opinion but I really like his portrayal. Goofy? yes. Wacky? yes but it's very similar to how Lex was in the comics many years ago especially at the very beginning. Not everyone is going to like this movie and I can understand why but to me it is a blockbuster done right and still my favorite DCEU movie to date (Sorry Wonder Woman you're a close second)
