Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.  The second ever episode of Batwoman begins with more flashbacks to the accident that caused the seemingly death of Kate Kane's mother and sister Beth. Kate narrates over the scene as she can't believe how Batman who had all the tech and money in the world still couldn't find Beth or her mom. On the streets of Gotham we see more men working for Alice. They're now known as the Wonderland Gang and as they attempt to commit even more crimes Kate Kane in her Bat suit shows up and after learning that the suit is bulletproof proceeds to pummel the men. She eventually has to escape cause she is so surrounded but this was a good way to start the episode. In the news and media everyone thinks that The Batman has returned after last week's ending where Kate showed up wearing the suit as she stopped Alice's plan and saved Sophie. The media outcry for help continues ...

With that being said let's get into it.  The Flash returns for it's sixth season and with not only an impending Crisis coming we're also introduced to some new characters. The episode begins 4 months after season 5's finale where we see Cisco and his girlfriend at Star Labs. On the outside we see a very familiar coat of white lightning running throughout the city. Godspeed has seemingly returned and he's come from the future as Cisco says. The Flash is soon after him and the two run throughout Central City. Flash ends up catching Godspeed and removes his mask. The man underneath is not August Heart like he was last season. In fact according to Cisco this is like the fourth person under the Godspeed get up that has arrived in Central City since the summer. He ultimately says it's a problem best saved for later. And that problem hopefully does get resolved at some point this season. As for the entire...

With that being said let's get into it.  Supergirl returns for a fifth season and after a season best in season 4 it has a lot to live up to. The episode begins with an out of control bus that ends up being stopped by Supergirl herself who is now sporting bangs. After stopping the bus she spots Lena who almost right away says that Kara is Supergirl and how she lied to her. Kara tries to explain herself but Lena punches her before the screen cuts to white. Lena was only using a VR simulation as a way to test her new tech which is being run by a new company named Obsidian North. Before I say anything else my theory already for this season is that Obsidian North is going to be a front for Leviathan who were confirmed to be this season's big bad. More fuel gets added to that fire as we're introduced to Andrea Rojas a strong business woman who we learn has bought Cat. Co off of Lena Luthor for over 1.2 billion doll...

With that being said let's get into it.  A new era of the Arrowverse is almost upon us so it only seems fitting that we'd get a new hero and it just show happens to be in the form of Kate Kane (Batwoman) played by Ruby Rose Kate's journey begins with flashbacks to a day in her life that changed everything. While out driving her mom is seemingly pursued by someone in a school bus. The bus crashes into the back of their car leading to a crash. In the back seat sits a young Kate and her sister Beth. With her mom unresponsive Batman shows up and hook shots the car onto the other side of the bridge in an attempt to pull it back before it falls off the bridge. This doesn't work however and as a young Kate attempts to get her sister out before the car falls off and plummets to the river below. She isn't successful though and has to watch as her sister and mom fall to their deaths seemingly. Flash forwa...

A man once said that all it takes is one bad day to drive someone completely insane. Meet Arthur Fleck a man living with his mom who works as a clown day to day. Seemingly disregarded by society as a whole Arthur has one goal in life and that is to be a stand up comedian. The movie starts off with Arthur at one of his weekly meetings where he talks to a councilor about his daily life, how he feels and what he's been up to. And right from the get go Joaquin Phoenix grabs you and for the rest of this movie refuses to let you go. He is absolutely astounding as Arthur Fleck. I have never witnessed such a performance quite like this. He's soft at first, insanely timid but at his core he's a broken man hurt by society which he sees as a cancer. His performance is so good here that it's actually pretty impossible to put into word. The transformation and process of him slowly but surely losing his mind is disturbingly poetic in a way. Board games, a crazed family, a newlywed couple and oodles of fun. Ready or Not follows the newly wed couple of Grace and Alex. Alex who is the son of a generational line of game masters named the Le Domas family. A family rich in both money and blood. At the beginning of the movie we're introduced to Grace and Alex and together they share a very special wedding day..that is it until later that evening. As per tradition in the Le Domas family whenever somebody new joins the family they are supposed to play a game at midnight. This could be any game as we're told it's all by chance. Previous players got chess, checkers etc. But there is one card that is not the kind of game you would want to play, especially with your in-laws and that is Hide & Seek. Of course Grace pulls that card and it's right from here where the movie just tosses the rule book out the window and becomes one of the most entertaining, funny and brilliant horror mysteries of the year.  First ...

First off Ad Astra on paper is nothing new in terms of plot and characters. In that sense it is pretty generic but it is elevated to absolutely amazing heights (sometimes literally) by it's cinematography, acting of his main actors and the art of making you actually feel like you are along for the journey with Brad Pitt's character. Speaking of Pitt he plays an Astronaut named Roy McBride. A major and well respected he is tasked with travelling across space to find his dad who for many years he thought was dead. But after getting news that he may very well be alive after almost 20 years he is tasked with travelling to Mars to send a message in hope of it finding his dad's lost shuttle. Like I said at the beginning the story is pretty basic and that's fine but it's Pitt's performance here that is just incredibly captivating.
