Bad Boys : Ride or Die review

By now you'd think Bad Boys has run it's course right?? 4 movies in and things should be slowing down right?? well that is certainly not the case as Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return as wise cracking Miami cops Mike Lowry and Marcus Burnett. Now a lot older but still very much in the game their forced to go on the run as they try to prove  their old Captain's innoncent after he is framed for something he didn't do by a mysterious group of soldiers. Right off the bat Bad Boys Ride or Die feels so much more fresh and upbeat than the previous entry which I felt was lacking in a lot of departments. The action was there but nothing else was y'know?? well that's not the case as there is some serious consequences and stakes on the line from all angles.

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's chemistry is truly infectious. They make you laugh, holler and even tug on the heart strings a little bit. It's a real return to form here in a story that while simple delivers buckets of popcorn fun. The action and gunfire is intense and tight with the camera work at times swithcing to a first person view which was so slick and cool. As for everyone else besides the two leads they do a fine job but when you got such big personalies as Smith and Lawrence it's hard to keep up.

These Bad Boys might be on their fourth movie outing but with the way things are going I'd gladly ride with these two forever. This is action and entertainment personfied and truly feels like a true summer blockbuster should. Don't take it serious, enjoy the ride and the many, many laughs. Bad Boys 4 life!
