No Hard Feelings review
I managed to see an advanced screening of Jennifer Lawrence's new R Rated comedy movie No Hard Feelings and let me tell you it is a rude, crude and absolutely hilarious with just the right amount of heart and weight to it also. Jennifer Lawrence plays Maddie Barker a young woman who is on the brink of losing her family home unless she can get major capital together. This leads to her answering an ad online from a wealthy couple who want someone to date their intro-verted son before he leaves for College, her reward? a brand new car!
Right off the bat No Hard Feelings brought me back to the feeling of true old school R Rated comedies like American Pie and The Hangover. It is very rude and crude like I said earlier but it is also just really funny from beginning to end. The entire theater I was in was cracking up throughout and it's all elevated even more by Jennifer Lawrence who plays her part a little too well. She is a crazy hot piece of a** who plays off her co-star really well indeed.
No Hard Feelings is a wild chaotic ride full of mishaps, nudity and a whole lot of swearing. It is a throwback to R Rated comedies of old and if it does well I really do hope it leads to these type of movies making a comeback because they're pure unfiltered escapism. Jennifer Lawrence shows off her star power once again and makes a claim for queen of R Rated comedy. Miss this at your peril.
