Superman & Lois 3x10 : Collision Course review

Be warned there will be SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.

This weeks episode of Superman and Lois is an interesting one that's for sure. We begin as Lois says that she has now completed her chemo-therapy process. She talks about how having cancer has changed not just her own life but everyone around her. With her chemo-therapy now done it'll be interesting to see what happens next with Lois. The Kent family have a mini celebration of Lois's feat atop a building where she basically tells Clark that she now intends on getting information from Peia. A confession from her so to speak. A confession of her and Bruno Mannheim's involvement in a crime that sent Lex Luthor to prison instead of them. Will Peia be willing to tell Lois everything?? well yes and no as she refuses to tell Lois anything until she gets to see her son Matteo. Lois agrees but more on this in just a bit.

Back at the Kent family home and it is father / son bonding day as Clark takes it upon himself to spend the day with his boys. They have other plans in mind however when Johnathan gets a text invite to a keg party full of seniors and Sarah who will also be there. The boys end up ditching their day to go which does actually end up hurting Clark which is a first on this show as far as I can remember. He's upset but really teenage boys hanging out with their dad just isn't a thing even Sam Lane tells Clark this at the D.O.D, so the boys are off to the keg party and it's here where the major fallout of certain stories and interwoven arcs begin to take place again. As the party is ongoing the police show up leading to everyone attempting to flee. This includes Sarah and a senior she was talking with named Junior. The two drive off with Sarah at the wheel even though she has already drank. It's looking good as they get away but things take a rough turn when Sarah swerves to avoid a deer on the road leading to the car going flying into the air before crashing into a nearby field area. But Sarah and Junior are okay someone or something had saved them just in the nick of time before rushing off. Junior is adamant he saw someone but Sarah says otherwise. She knows it was Jordan but is clearly just lying to protect his identity. Sarah's dad Kyle is soon on the scene and he is informed that Sarah is to be charged with a DUI offense. Devastated by this Kyle accepts his daughters charge but is furious with her and so too Lana who was having a really good day after meeting with a higher up influential person who could've helped her and Smallville but after seeing and learning about Sarah now she is not going to help.

The episode draws to a close as Matteo gets to see his mom again. He enters the room and before Peia can even say anything she is injected with ''The Cure'' as Matteo talks about how his father has perfected the cure which will help Peia. It does and it's not long before Peia is awake and turning the D.O.D on it's head. Lois can't believe what is happening and has to even help Peia escape as she is basically held at gunpoint so to speak. She also isn't answering her phone which puts Clark is panic mode. Speaking of Clark Kyle shows up at his doorstep and is pretty clear on who helped Sarah earlier. He thinks it is Johnathan who has powers as it would tie into what had been happening with various buildings being covered in ice one which happened when Johnathan was on the job. Clark stops Kyle in his tracks however and as he hears cries and screams of danger he tells Kyle that the boys don't have powers and that he will explain everything tomorrow. He flies straight into the sky heading for the D.O.D leaving Kyle in total shock beneath him as he looks up into the sky. What a scene this was and it will be very interesting to see what happens next and how it will change the relationship between not just Kyle and Clark but pretty much everyone else as he is the only one who didn't know Clark is Superman. It's a fascinating development. The episode ends as Peia arrives back to the place where it all began for her and Bruno as they're joined by their son. What comes next is unknown but that's how the episode ends and much like the rest of this season it was great. Maybe not as good as previous weeks but still very, very solid indeed. 3 episodes remain this season so it'll be very interesting to see how things pan out including Lex Luthor who is supposed to be showing up very soon. That I can't wait to see happen!
