Stargirl 3x8 : Frenemies - Chapter eight : Infinity Inc Part two review

Be warned there will be SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.

The review of this episode of Stargirl is extremely late and will be pretty brief as a new episode airs tonight and I'll have that review up on Friday but with that being said let's get into it. The episode picks up right where the previous ended as we catch up Pat and The Shade who were thrust into the Shadowlands when they collided with the powers of Todd Rice who also has a similar set of powers like The Shade but his are not at all under control, at least not for the time being. It is here in these Shadowlands where Shade mentions how he will not be fully healed of his lack of power until Jennie is cleared of corruption through her Lantern ring. Pat and Shade run into all manner of constructs and figments of imagination as they meet The Gambler, Pats dad and more. It's a fascinating time and one that ends in a bittersweet moment.

Back in the land of the living and it is here where we finally get to see Mr Bones meet Courtney face to face. He tells her about his curse and how he was born with a poison touch one that killed his mother at birth. He also talks about Helix and how it has been used to house and protect people with extraordinary abilities for years upon years. It is why Todd is here and Jennie too. They're being kept from the outside world which Courtney isn't too pleased with at all. Both brother and sister do end up reuniting and it's a great moment much like the entire back half of the episode which is just really solid character work as usual from this show.

The episode draws to a close as everyone is reunited, the corruption on Jennie's ring is no more and most surprisingly we're still in the dark about who has been monitoring Blue Valley. Just who could it be?? we're not really closer to finding out as the episode ends with the person putting their fist through one of their monitors. Mr Bones is not really an option anymore as it'd be too obvious other than him I'm genuinely fascinated by it all. This review has been short like I said and in the next review I will fix that I promise. As for this episode I liked it a lot. It was a really good follow up to the previous part and ended the arc in a satisfying way indeed.
