No Time To Die review

James Bond. 007. Kn own the world over. With this 25th entry into the iconic movie franchise which just so happens to also be Daniel Craig's final outing as Mr Bond can it not only be a great James Bond movie packed with action but can it also send Craig out on a big final note? No Time To Die is quite frankly brilliant. It packs such an emotional punch that it just amazing. Daniel Craig is as brilliant as ever as James Bond the rest of the cast which includes new and familiar faces abound are great here also. In classic Bond style there is a quite an amount of locations and they are as gorgeous as they are varied. From Italy to Cuba to London to a deserted island where all bad things are going on. It's a feast for the eyes truth be told as always is with James Bond movies.

Rami Malek joins the fray as this entry's villain and I just wish he had time to be explored more because quite frankly he's great in his role. He speaks very calmly but manages to still be quite menacing showcasing a big sign of the power he commands. It's quite sad that over 160 minutes of this movie that he is so underdeveloped as he is but I too understand that the focus had to be on Bond this time around more so than others. As for your action there is plenty here with high octane chases abound including an array of vehicles from the classic Aston Martin to a part plane part submarine that switches between the two flawlessly.  As for the titular song written by Billie Ellish it works great in the movie with the opening credits but on repeated listens it falls a bit flat at least for me. It's certainly no Skyfall by Adele or even You Know My Name by Chris Cornell

No Time To Die is a very fitting end to Daniel Craig's legacy as James Bond. It's packs quite an emotional punch. So much so that it's hard to next get swept up in it all and actually shed a tear or two. From Casino Royale to Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre and now No Time To Die Daniel Craig has delivered 5 unique and hard hitting performances as James Bond. Personally Sean Connery is still the number 1 Bond for me but Craig ranks as a high second. He not only brought the physicality to the role that was very much needed and required but he has and had the acting chops to back it up. No Time To Die is as close to perfect as you can get for a James Bond movie. Let's just hope whomever takes up the mantle next can do Daniel Craig and all those previous proud just as Mr Craig done.
