Supergirl 6x12 : Blind Spots review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.

After last weeks return to form for Supergirl can this weeks episode follow that up with another great episode?? yes. Yes it can! the episode begins as we see what happened to the surrounding residents when the building that Nyxly destroyed 2 weeks ago. Kelly gets a phone call from Joey who is with one of his friends when the building collapses with a blue magic surrounding the building before collapsing to nothing but rubble and dust. Dust that affects not only Joey but various other people including the Council Woman from a few episodes back. The same council woman who wanted the building to be changed up anyways so it comes as quite a delight for her when it's destroyed. She shows up at the hospital where Kelly and Orlando are with Joey. She arrives on a stretcher and comes off as a good doer but really she's just in it for herself. It turns out that she is the first one to get better as we see her inject herself with an experimental drug at her bedside in hospital. After taking the drug blue energy is seen flowing through her. This energy is fifth dimensional energy that built up and destroyed the building which we saw at the beginning of the episode. The Council Woman uses her newfound power to wish anything she wants into existence but by doing so she affects everyone who was also in the area of the building collapse. It's up to Kelly, Orlando and John Diggle of all people to save the people in hospital and stop the Council Woman.

Yes John Diggle. He shows up in National City after Kelly sent a distressing call to James Olsen. Dig arrives at Kelly's doorstep offering his help to her because from what Jimmy told him Kelly wasn't exactly doing so well. With Diggle on her side now both him and Kelly go to the source of the energy which is the rubble left behind from the building collapse. When they arrive they find a mysterious door that houses a blue energy signature. Supergirl and co soon turn up and this is where the episode really kicks into gear. As you see for the whole episode so far the Superfriends have been preoccupied with everything when it comes to Nyxly. So preoccupied that when Kelly calls them all out on it Supergirl breaks down and apologizes to Kelly in a pretty heartfelt moment. This episode revolves around Kelly for the majority of it and a couple of things aside it is a pretty amazing episode that strongly proves the iron will and inner strength of Kelly Olsen.

The episode draws to a close as Kelly's Guardian suit gets a 31st century update by Brainy as a plan of action to not only stop the Council Woman but restore the energy to all those inside of the hospital is put in place. With the cuffs that were used on Nyxly Brainy says that they can use them again to redirect the fifth dimensional energy from the Council Woman into the people affected. With Kelly now in a new and much improved Guardian get up she stands atop the building across from the hospital and waits for her cue to get in on the action. When Supergirl cuffs the Council Woman after a pretty intense fight she points her at Kelly who uses a device that is basically a synergy device which takes the energy from one person and returns it to everyone else. Once this is done and Guardian is back on the ground she thanks everyone and becomes somewhat of an inspiration to kids already which really makes you feel proud of Kelly. She really did do a lot in this episode and came out the other side a truly remarkable hero. The episode ends back at Kelly and Alex's apartment where we see Kelly get comforted by Alex who promises to always be there for her. This was another tender sweet moment in an episode that felt truly empowering.A fantastic episode that showcased Kelly Olsen in the best way possible.
