Batwoman 2x15 : Armed and Dangerous review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.

Batwoman returns from it's hiatus with an episode that far surpassed all my expectations. It begins with a recap of what happened with Luke Fox. The last thing we saw from this show was Luke being shot in cold blood by Crow members. Especially agent Tavaroff who as the episode goes on we find out is more and more corrupt. The episode officially begins as we see Jacob questioning Crow agents. He asks to see body cam footage of what happened to Luke Fox. Speaking of Luke Fox we see him inside of Wayne Enterprises. He sees his dad at the far end of the room and calls out to him. Next thing we see is him inside of a hospital bed still out cold in a medically induced coma. Ryan and Mary are then seen going to the bat-cave to try and find out just what happened. Ryan soon suits up as Batwoman and tracks down Eli the man who Luke tried to stop from stealing a car which led to him being shot in the first place. Batwoman stops Eli from escaping in said stolen car and questions him. He tells her that it was The Crows who shot Luke specifically agent Tavaroff. He also says that Luke brought it upon himself because he could've easily just stayed out of his business and walked away. Batwoman gets completely frustrated by this and from on has it out big time for agent Tavaroff.

Back with Luke now and it's clear we're inside his subconscious as not only is his father Lucius Fox present but Bruce Wayne also. Master Wayne stops Luke from going over to his father as if he does it will be his final steps as he will die. Luke tells Bruce that he is sick of everything, the system is totally corrupt and things like this keep happening over and over again. Bruce understands but wills Luke on to return to the land of the living so to speak. While all of this is going on in the inside on the outside Mary gets some Desert Rose and imbues it into a syringe. She gets the help of Wolfspider to inject Luke as she struggles to get into his room as 2 Crow agents block the room and won't let anyone in. Wolfspider manages to inject Luke and get out just in time leaving no trace of entrance behind. With Luke surely going to be restored to fully strength Batwoman has agent Tavaroff to try and deal with. The same agent Tavaroff who gets called to Jacob Kane's office. He asks him to hand in his badge and gun as he is now under full investigation. The shooting of Luke Fox is the latest in a number of complaints. He seems to surrender his things but then turns around and hits Jacob with his gun knocking him out. As Batwoman attempts to get the footage of the Luke Fox incident Sophie sees Jacob being taken somewhere by agent Tavaroff and his gang of cronies. What will Batwoman do? save Jacob or save Luke's behind?

The episode draws to a close as Batwoman chooses the former and manages to save Jacob Kane just in the nick of time. Fighting and defeating agent Tavaroff Batwoman mentions to Jacob that corruption runs deep within the Crows which is a major turning point as it's not long before Jacob calls a press conference. At said press conference he not only apologizes to Luke Fox, his family and friends but he also disbands the Crows right then and there as everyone watches on the news. Ryan and Mary are at Luke's bedside watching as Jacob talks about creating the Crows for a different purpose not what they've become. He walks off happy with his decision, but what now? the Crows are seemingly done and dusted? it's an interesting direction to go and I'm genuinely intrigued to see how it all unfolds going forward. The episode doesn't end there however rather it ends with two further developments. Firstly is Luke Fox who wakes up but after he is taken away from his father in his subconscious. He opens his eyes slowly as Mary and Ryan welcome him back. Will this have any big effect going forward?? you never know. The other and final development involves Jacob Kane who upon getting into his car gets greeted by none other than Alice. Alice tells him that Kate Kane is alive and under Black Mask's control. Not believing her at first stating not this again Jacob soon realizes that she may be telling the truth as she tells her dad that they're going to get Kate back together this time. And that was the episode. A fine entry and overall episode that delved strongly into corruption among police and protection services. Luke Fox's story coming full circle as he was once again forced to bid farewell to his father. Not to mention Bruce Wayne wherever the true Bruce may be. As for Ryan her character just keeps evolving and getting better with each passing episode. Not many episodes now remain so it should be all hands on deck from now on with nothing but reveals and big action set to come. Not the best episode this season for Batwoman but it was pretty darn close!
