The Flash 6x9 : Crisis on Infinite Earths : Part three review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. 

Crisis rolls on beginning this time on Earth-203 New Gotham where we see a member of the Birds Of Prey Helena Kyle (The Huntress) running through her city as crimson engulfs the skyline. She shouts out to Oracle on her comms but gets zero response. It's seconds later when the anti matter wave hits killing her and everyone on Earth-203 instantly. Back on the waverider our hero's learn of the final 3 Paragons. One is J'onn, the other Barry and the final one is a man named Ryan Choi who lives in Ivy Town. We also learn that Earth-1 is to be the final Earth destroyed which makes it the place for the final stand against the Anti-Monitor. The entire group again split off into different teams. First off there is Constantine, Mia and Diggle who finally shows up after getting word of Oliver's death. Those 3 go to Earth-666 Los Angeles and run into a familiar face in Lucifer Morningstar who is the Devil himself. He is seen coming out of his club as Constantine asks for a favor. A way into Purgatory so that they can retrieve Oliver's soul and return it to his body. The other group is Barry, Killer Frost and a power returning Vibe. Back on the waverider The Monitor restored Cisco's Vibe powers saying that he still has a big part to play. Barry, Cisco and Killer Frost all go to the location where Nash Wells became Pariah and ultimately let the Anti-Monitor out into the Universe. They end up bumping into Pariah who says he can no longer remember his memories from Nash Wells and needs Vibe's help to retrieve his memory of how he opened the entrance in the sewers. Cisco vibes him and finds the entrance as they all head inside to find something that could very well be game changing. The final team are Ray, Ralph and Iris who go to try and find this Ryan Choi who turns out to be obsessed with Ray and his work. He turns down the offer of joining them at first stating that if the world is indeed ending he'd rather spend it with his wife and child. Iris eventually gets him to come around and join them as the Paragon of Humanity. 

More on Constantine, Dig and Mia now and after gaining access to Purgatory thanks to Lucifer and a Devil card that will fade and fade the longer they are in Purgatory. They need to find Oliver quickly because if the card completely fades their souls will be lost. Ain't the Devil a nice guy?? the trio eventually find Oliver who attacks them at first in an almost crazed state. He comes around rather quickly and just as it looks like he is about to go with them he and the others are met by a man named Jim Corrigan. He offers Oliver power beyond any recognition. He will become the Spectre of the Universe and will be able to help the entire multiverse and prevent destruction. Oliver actually accepts and doesn't go with Dig, Constantine and Mia rather staying behind to claim this power. Back with Team Flash now and after opening the entrance in the sewer they are shocked to find The Flash from Earth-90 inside running endlessly on a treadmill powering the wave of Anti-Matter. Pariah tells them that the Earth-90 Flash is powering the machine because of the Anti-Monitor's influence running deep within him. Vibes opens a portal and The Flash runs right out of demanding to be put back in. Minutes remain before the entire weapon will destroy not only itself but every single Earth remaining. A surge of energy appears before we see Black Lightning enter the fold demanding answers to his question of where he is, where is his family and what he is doing there. Turns out Pariah brought him there as a way to help the Universe and continue as the hero he is. Black Lightning gets to work and powers his energy into the anti-matter wave cannon as The Flash of Earth-90 and Earth-1 argue about just who will take place on the cosmic treadmill. Ultimately it's the Flash of Earth-90 who gets back on the treadmill before vanishing in Crisis. Taking Barry of Earth-1's place we even see some old footage of the 90's Flash show featuring Barry Allen. With a little help from The Flash from Earth-1's speed Earth 90's Flash evaporates into nothingness as he stops the anti-matter cannon in the process sparing Earth-1 from being destroyed just as the anti-matter wave was about to hit. 

The episode comes to a close back aboard the waverider and with Harbinger still missing she shows up out of nowhere. With everyone now on board including all Paragons Harbinger reveals her true intentions. Her eyes get whited out as the Anti-Monitor takes control of her. Both the Monitor and Harbinger who speaks from the Anti-Monitor battle as two waves of energy balance each other out. The Monitor doesn't end up defeating his polar opposite instead he tasks Pariah with saving everyone on board as not only did The Monitor destroy every Earth in the multiverse but finally he has achieved the goal of destroying Earth-1 as all our hero's are aboard the waverider. With time running out quickly Pariah teleports all 7 Paragons to a place called The Vanishing Point where the Anti-Monitor can't reach them. Everyone else on the waverider ends up getting wiped from existence as the anti-matter wave destroys everything in it's path. Back in The Vanishing Point we see all 7 Paragons thinking of what to do next. Even more craziness happens however as Superman (Brandon Routh) begins to emit waves of energy from his body. He falls to the ground with everyone else standing over him. His body vanishes and is replaced with Lex Luthor who again took the Book Of Destiny stating it needed a re-write. The episode ends with Lex asking what now?? as our hero's and Lex must fight when Crisis on Infinite Earths returns for it's final two parts in Arrow and Legends Of Tomorrow on January 14th. This episode was like the first two parts just a roller coaster. So much has happened in this crossover that honestly it's been hard to keep up with it all. The Flash of Earth-90's sacrifice for the rest of the Universe was really heartfelt and Black Lighting showing up was really rather great. Lex being alongside the 7 Paragons will be interesting going forward as the battle for the entire world begins. January 14th can't get here soon enough!
