Charlie's Angels review
It's really not surprising that Charlie's Angel's plot is full of predictable twists and turns filled with good to great action set pieces. Elizabeth Banks who wrote this has provided an adequate script with just enough there to keep you engaged. The interaction between the three main leads starts off a bit slow and cheesey but really gets better as it goes on. And that is what the pacing is like for the majority of the movie. It starts off a bit slow, then flat lines before being shot with a round of adrenaline all culminating in a predictable but satisfying finale.
Charlie's Angels is nowhere near the movie it could've been. Ella Ballinska's performance aside the rest is more or less what we've seen before. There's nothing new here when it comes to storytelling and action set pieces. Kirsten Stewart tries her best at disguises throughout which provides plenty of laughs but that's about it. As for the ending?? well be sure to stay for the after credits as there is some surprise cameos that I don't want to spoil. Needless to say I was actually surprised by who showed up. In summary Charlie's Angels is more like a watch off of Netflix on a random night type of movie than anything else. It's fine and that's okay but it could've been so much better. Keep an eye on Ella Ballinska she is going to be a big star going forward.
