Toy Story 4 review

Many people (myself included) view the original Toy Story trilogy as the perfect trilogy. It had everything you could want in a trilogy and more. So when Toy Story 4 was first announced I was quite skeptical to be honest. All the gang are once again back together as Woody and pals who at the end of Toy Story 3 were handed over to a new child named Bonnie have to deal with her latest creation. A spork made literally out of trash as he struggles with his identity. The story is definitely the most weird and bizarre out of all 4 Toy Stories but man is it enjoyable. Pixar have truly hit another home run here as not only is Toy Story another perfection addition into the franchise it is just a joy to watch. It made me feel like I was a kid again which was such an amazing feeling I can't even describe it honestly.

All the original voice actors are back too which includes Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. But also along the for the ride this time is Keanu Reeves who voices a motorcycle daredevil and Jordon Peele and Keegan-Michael Key who voice the most adorable little duck and bunny stuffed toys. They steal every scene they are in and add a lot of the comedic relief throughout. The overall scope here is also well and truly brought to new horizons as we get more locations than ever before in a Toy Story movie. An entire carnival and a second hand antique store are just two to mention as the movie balances everything so well. It's a story about friendship and loyalty at it's core as these movies always are.
Overall Toy Story 4 is another incredible, stunningly animated movie by Pixar. It's emotional, hilarious and heartwarming. It'll transport you to being a kid for over 100 minutes that is indeed pure cinema bliss. It was amazing to have the old gang back together and the ending? well it could not have ended on a more perfect note. If this is to be the last Toy Story then I have nothing else to say but Bravo and thanks for the memories. This is one you just must go to see.
