Spiderman : Into The Spider-verse review
Have you ever thought what it would be like to have not only 1 but multiple Spidermen and women on screen at once?? well Into The Spider-Verse has got all that and more. Not only does it feature Peter Parker but it introduces Miles Morales a young kid from Brooklyn who after being forced almost by his parents to go to a school from Monday-Friday his entire life is thrown into turmoil after being bitten by a radioactive spider while out with his uncle. This leads to new friendships, bitter enemies and everything else a Spider can. Being animated I honestly didn't expect much from this movie overall but man did it surprise me. It is fresh, funky, exciting and absolutely hilarious. Miles is a fantastic lead and the various other spider men and women are a joy to watch also as they all team up to try and thwart The Kingpin's latest plan which literally rips entire holes in dimensions.
It is beautifully animated throughout and Miles is a great character to help move the plot along as his journey takes him from troubled youth with very little to look forward to in his future all the way to being the one and only Spiderman. The Kingpin is not the only villain featured here as Scorpion, Green Goblin and some other surprises show up along the way. Into The Spider-Verse's soundtrack is another big highlight as each song just fits perfectly as it zips from one scene to the next.
So what're we left with?? the best Spiderman movie of all time?? it very well could be as Into The Spider-verse feels totally fresh from previous Spiderman movies while still obtaining things that made others great. With a fantastic lead in Miles Morales, a banging soundtrack and even some life lessons along the way Spiderman: Into The Spider-verse is a movie you really shouldn't miss checking out.
