Legends Of Tomorrow 4x8 : Legends of To-Meow-Meow review
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it
Legends Of Tomorrow's mid season finale has come and gone and oh boy with it we were treated to one heck of an episode. It begins pretty much from where it ended last week with Charlie looking down at Zari who got turned into a cat after Constantine pretty much screwed over the entire timeline. Charlie sets the jumpship to bring back Zari to the waverider as she gets off in Las Vegas 1962. Posing as Marilyn Monroe she encounters a magical leprachaun in a casino and the two talk. And it is here where the episode just chucks everything out the window. Nate, Rory and Ray bust in and Ray ends up killing the magical creature by shooting him right through the chest. Turns out Constantine screwed the timeline so bad that Ray, Mick and Nate formed their own little magical creature killing group named The Custodians of Chronology after Sara yes Sara was killed by the unicorn way back at this season's first episode. It's all incredibly silly and downright bonkers but so entertaining at the same time.
The timeline changes various times throughout the episode as Charlie and Constantine try to fix it into place. Zari reverts to her normal self but then turns into a cat again, Sara isn't the one who is killed but instead Nate, Ray and Mick and various other things too like Sara, Ava and Gideon forming their very own magical creature killing group named SOS which is short for Sirens Of Space. It's a Charlie's Angels rip off more than anything else and to be honest I don't know what to think about it. It's totally weird and out there but I guess it works?? kinda?? either way as Charlie and Constantine continue to fix the timeline puppets are introduced too in yet another bizarre moment. DC's Puppets Of Tomorrow complete with signing and dancing by puppet Nate, puppet Ray and puppet Sara. Honestly this is an episode you really need to watch to understand just what the heck is going on.
Constantine ultimately does end up fixing the timeline as he changes what he done with Desmond and the two reconnect after last week's break up. This reverts everything back to normal. Charlie even learns a life lesson along the way which is always a good way to develop a character further. The episode ends as the timeline is restored and Constantine tells Sara all about his problem. His problem with Desmond and his problem with Neron who he says is an unforgiving bastard who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Skip to Washington DC and we see Nate's dad on the phone. He learns of the magical creatures escape after last week's episode and he tells the man standing in front of him that they've experience a bit of a blip. The man is none other than Desmond who says it better just be that before his face sort of morphs and changes. I guess Neron is possessing him on the outside now?? either way we won't find out for a long time as Legends now takes a break until April 2019 which honestly sucks. As a big fan of the show it's painful that I have to wait so long to see more of it. But I guess it can't be helped. It will be back before we even know it. All in all this episode..I can't even put into words to be honest. It's an experience unlike anything else I've seen this season from any DC show. Until April then legends!
