Supergirl 4x7 : Rather the Fallen Angel review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it

We get team ups a plenty in this week's episode of Supergirl as it begins with the Girl Of Steel herself teaming up with Manchester Black to try and stop more Children Of Liberty from stealing valuables. As the episode goes on and Supergirl works with Manchester more his tactics and actions start to wear thin with Kara and she tells him that they can't work together anymore due to the way he does things. Supergirl's got a certain way of doing things and Manchester is just an all out brute at times. Later as Jonn convinces Kara to give him another chance Supergirl and Manchester team up once more and learn of a place called Shelley Island. Which just so happens to be the base / hideout of the Children Of Liberty and of course Agent Liberty himself.

James Olsen whom after the ending of last week's episode surrendered to the Children Of Liberty is questioned and asked to aid them in their latest plan. Which leads us again to Shelley Island where James was taken and is also as I mentioned the base of Agent Liberty and his followers. Before it was their base however it was a bustling island with a monument which is now broken and run down. As you enter you're greeted by a video message from Supergirl herself welcoming you to the island. More on James now and the same guy from last week who got James the invitation to meet Agent Liberty tries to bust James out as he thought he was only being brought to the island for an interview not to be asked to be the front and center of their latest plan. Speaking of their plan it involves blowing up the run down monument that I mentioned earlier. James willingly goes along with it all as if he doesn't they'll kill the betraying Child Of Liberty. Reputation doesn't mean anything to him he says and Agent Liberty can do whatever he wants with it. And this is when the team ups really begin as Supergirl and Manchester arrive on Shelley Island they are greeted with power dampening rods but Supergirl comes prepared and tosses a yellow sun grenade over the rods. But of course it's all a trap as Manchester removed the contents back at his place before they left for the island. He promised the Children Of Liberty Supergirl and in exchange he gets some one on one time with Agent Liberty. Supergirl left betrayed is rendered powerless and taken to the same monument that James is supposed to blow up. So with time running out Kara tries her best to get his attention from the monument which is across the water. James predictably sees her just before he blows the place up and Supergirl is saved and also regains her powers after Manchester destroys the rods that was preventing Kara from powering up. Why did he destroy them?? well turns out he was duped by the Children Of Liberty as the real Agent Liberty wasn't even on the island. Ben Lockdown who we know is the Agent Of Liberty is watching from inside his office on a computer. Supergirl saves the day once more.

The episode ends as we see Jonn visiting Kara and telling her that he failed Manchester. He tells her that he killed a lot of people in pursuit of justice. And he says that it cuts to Manchester who we see pull up outside of Lockdown Family Steel before it fades to the logo. I really did like this episode a lot. I didn't mention everything else going on like Lena's human trials beginning and her struggles with that but this was such a strong episode and probably my favorite episode last season. Last week we saw Kara take on a dragon but this week she took on someone who she taught was her friend. It's always great to see the human side of these strong and powerful characters. Kara saves the day once more and is flying higher than ever before!
