Supergirl 4x6 : Call to Action review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it

This week's episode of Supergirl begins with an alien attack as a couple are seen walking through Midtown park when Children Of Liberty begin their assault. Manchester Black makes his presence known and makes the save before Supergirl herself shows up. As the Children Of Liberty are defeated leaflets begins to fall from the sky. These leaflets are a manifesto from the Agent Of Liberty himself. With hate speech a plenty inside Supergirl and Alex continue to investigate the situation throughout the episode even though they get strict orders to not get involved from Colonel Hayley who tells the Danver sisters that it is not the DEO's priority to subdue these Children Of Liberty. So with the help of Brainiac-5 Alex and Kara continue their research throughout the episode.

It's Thanksgiving in National City and what better way to spend it then with family?? well Kara and everyone else learns that it isn't so easy as these Children Of Liberty's attacks aren't just random alien attacks they are planned out with the help of highly trained dogs who can sniff out and spot various symbols much like the Anarchy symbols throughout National City. Supergirl does her best to get rid of as many symbols as she can but really she is out of her depth. Brainiac-5 intervenes to help and we're treated to one of the most hilarious fight scenes this season. As he removes some symbols himself the Children Of Liberty surround Brainiac but not before he can take them all out not with his fists but with the power of physics. It sounds silly in theory but it was well done.
I got a question. Did you ever want to see Supergirl take on a Dragon in live action?? yes?? well then this is the episode for you. As the crimes against aliens continue throughout the city a young girl asks her pet to help protect her family. What I did not expect however is the pet to transform into a giant flying fire breathing Dragon. The CGI looks pretty iffy but it was just so cool to see Supergirl take on the beast. He is ultimately defeated as the young girl tells Alex that the Dragon isn't mean, he is just doing his job of protecting her and her family. His name is Spike and Kara calms him down before he reverts to his original size. James Olsen, James Olsen really shines throughout this episode in his now continuing war against the Children Of Liberty. Lena and him bicker a lot in this episode as James seems to put his entire situation before her and everything else. He actually ends up meeting one of the Children Of Liberty and convinces him that violence isn't the answer. As the episode ends however the same guy says to James that he can get him close to someone that can eventually get him even closer to the Agent Of Liberty himself. But not before James gets ambushed and taken away in a van. Lena on the other hand makes a breakthrough in her research in the hunt for a cancer cure. She mentions to everyone at the Danver's house during thanksgiving dinner that if possible that humans can and should be made super just like Supergirl and Superman. Is this, this show's way of introducing the Everyman project?? because if so that is incredibly interesting.

All in all this week's episode of Supergirl was a big step up in quality from last week. It had a solid narrative and Supergirl V a Dragon was not something I knew I needed as much as I did. This is Kara once more flying high!
