Arrow 7x6 : Due Process review
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it
Picking up from last week's episode and we see Diaz torturing Anatoli. He mentions how he betrayed his trust and friendship. Which in turn lead to Diaz slaughtering the entire Bratva leaving Anatoli with no friends. No Team Arrow or anyone to save him. Back inside prison and Oliver who is now back on level one continues his normal duties as an inmate. He learns that security has been tightened since he's returned and that the guards aren't on Brick's payroll anymore. Stanley (Oliver's fellow inmate) on the other hand is not doing so well as he is taken to the hole on account of him murdering one of the main guards. He pleads his innocence but is taken to the hole indefinitely.
Laurel and Felicity continue their ongoing partnership to overthrow Diaz. Laurel even goes to visit Oliver and takes photos of him to later present in a case against the courts to release him. She mentions how he's been tortured by mentally and physically but while the judge does agree that the prison should be investigated she doesn't agree that Oliver should be released. Later in the episode literally everyone comes together in a big and explosive attempt to finally capture Diaz which surprisingly ends up happening. But more that a bit later. The flash forwards return in this episode and we find out that Felicity who we know is dead in the future was actually murdered by someone. We also learn that she took on the identity of The Calculator much like her father and entered into some really shady business with people you don't wanna mess around. This leaves William reeling but still he is strongly for finding out just why she would send him to find Roy then come back to Star City. He eventually learns of a plan that can level the whole city but it's not show anymore after that. Guess we'll find out more soon enough.
So with Diaz in custody Oliver does some investigating of his own and manages to get the blame for the guards murder placed on Bronze Tiger which leaves Stanley free and back into level one. Stanley mentions how Oliver got Bronze Tiger's fingerprints on the murder weapon but Oliver tells him that he couldn't have known since he was in the hole. Is Stanley a spy?? is he the leader of the entire prison?? who knows but that part alone just blew the season open for me. More on Diaz now and back at the SCPD Felicity pulls a gun on him in the interview room. She is eventually stopped by Laurel though who tells her she has come to a deal with the feds. A trade deal. Diaz for Oliver. So this is how Oliver gets out, not what I expected but okay. Diaz obviously won't stay in prison for long I'm assuming or maybe this was part of his plan?? either way this episode was really solid. Not as good as last week however but still really enjoyable. I shall see you on the outside Mr Queen.
