Arrow 7x4 : Level Two review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it

Continuing on from last week as we see Oliver who is now on Level Two of the prison after his antics at the end of the last week's episode. He is greeted by a doctor who continuously continues him throughout the episode much to Oliver's annoyance. Oliver who by this point is in just a room with no food or water slowly begins to lose his mind a little as the doctor's questions bring up past memories for both Oliver and the viewer. As he questions Oliver about just what happened all those years on Lian Yu he digs his heels into Oliver further as he blames Oliver's father for what he has gone through the past number of years. He tells him that his father brought all his problems upon his son without really thinking about his son. He put his entire son's future in doubt and as we know what became of Oliver's future he kind of has a point throughout.

Felicity really brings out a new side to her in this episode also. With The Silencer still in captivity she plans to torture her to get information on Diaz's location. She even considers torture but not before Rene tells her that is not the right road to go down. She tells him that she's changed but he says that he felt the same way long ago but it is pure evil and evil always finds a way to pay back what has been done. So after getting a call from Dinah about a rally in the Town Hall Rene heads there. With people not happy about the lack of protection from the SCPD they all agree that Star City was a better place when the vigilantes were around. The people felt more safe. They felt like they could live their lives. Unlike the current state that has them living in almost constant fear. As the discussion is going on in one room in another we see a guy making bombs who ends up setting the building on fire. This leads to the Green Arrow returning to save Rene's daughter. After this Rene really ups the heat against Dinah who he constantly bickers with throughout the episode about The Green Arrow and what he is all about. Dinah is not convinced at all however and it's only after she arrests Rene for interfering that Dig shows up and the two talk it out. This all comes to a head at a movie theater when the same guy from earlier plans to destroy the building in flames. The Green Arrow once more shows up and actually ends up putting his body on the line to douse the flames before being carried away by Dinah and Rene. I do wonder who the man under the hood is however as right now I have no idea.
The flash forwards return in this episode and after planning to return to Star City the last time we saw them Roy and William arrive in the city. With a new location to go to Felicity Smoak's tech building they arrive inside and are greeted by guards but seconds later these same guards are taken down by Dinah who says to Roy that he never should have come back. All before this happened however William found a bag inside a safe which inside is a Rubix Cube. With little no real idea what it is and seconds after Zoey walks in. Yes Rene's daughter is a vigilante in the future Dinah tells William that Felicity Smoak is dead and that is where the episode ends. Arrow has got so much going for it right now. From Oliver's intense prison moments to the flash forwards to William and Roy all the way to the current day goings on this season has been a real treat so far. I know where only 4 episodes in but it is really promising. The episode overall was really good and highlighted a lot on the value of family which is always important. Until next week Arrow it's been a pleasure.
