Arrow 7x3 : Crossing Lines review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it

Picking up right where things left off last week we see Felicity trying to convince Agent Watson to help her take down Diaz once and for all. Watson tells Felicity that it's not that simple as the FBI have other people on their list to take down also. Felicity tells her that she has practically ruined her life with Oliver in prison and William having been sent away. Agent Watson stands her ground and refuses to help. This leads to Felicity planting a bug in her office which we don't see her do but later we see Rene and Felicity monitoring goings on as Agent Watson meets with her boss who tells her that chasing Diaz is a big problem with little to no evidence as it'll be a total waste of resources. Felicity mentions Watson actually having a heart as she obviously does want to help but not at the cost of her job.

In prison and after getting rid of the cop at the end of last week's episode for Brick Oliver expects his information that was promised in return. Brick mentions an informant named 'The Demon' but you don't get to see him unless he wants to see you. Later Bronze Tiger pays Oliver a visit and tells him that Brick has told him to kill him as he is pain in the side of all prisoners but Oliver gets the upper hand and is lead to a fighting wing inside the prison where inmates and even members of security bet on who they think will fights. It's Sampson who is the current champion and as Oliver is forced to take him on he ends up breaking multiple bones before literally climbing the prison structure to get to Brick to force the information about 'The Demon' out of him. Turns out this informant is on level 2 and Oliver is too much of a hero to go there according to Brick. But Oliver proves him wrong as he attacks a number of security members leaving them with no choice but to bring him to level 2 where god knows what awaits him.
The highlight of the episode however has to be when Felicity gets Agent Watson to finally come around and join her Dinah and Rene as they plan to trap Diaz and The Longbow Hunters inside of CDC a secure government facility. Diaz is there to collect some sort of compound that he later injects himself with to seemingly gain super strength. Felicity's plan doesn't go quite right however as Diaz and 2 members of The Longbow Hunters get the upper hand but the other member is ultimately captured by the team but at the cost of Agent Watson's position within the FBI as she is reassigned to a desk job in DC. She tells Felicity that it was better to try and bring down Diaz than do absolutely nothing while he is out there getting away with countless crimes. So with one member of The Longbow Hunters caught Felicity and co have at least won this battle but the war still wages on. The episode ends however as countless heavy security guards show up and escort Oliver to level 2 where apparently the only way out of there is through the morgue, so Ollie's got the fight of his life on his hands coming up I'm sure.

I quite enjoyed this episode. The ongoing battle between Oliver, Bronze Tiger, Sampson and Brick as been an interesting factor thus far. The war between Felicity and Diaz is relentless at times and the overall tone fits for the story that's being told. There was no flash forwards this week but that's okay as the episode made up for it in other areas. I shall see you in Level 2 Mr Queen.
