Legends Of Tomorrow 3x18 : The Good, The Bad, and The Cuddly

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it

The season finale of DC's Legends Of Tomorrow has come and gone and with it some really memorable and entertaining moments not to mention the return of some past characters. It begins pretty much where it ended last week as Mallus gets free from his prison and vessel Nora Dahrk and right away we're thrown into a fight between the demon and the 6 totem bearers. With Wally trying his best to somehow subdue Mallus the rest of the legends focus their attacks on him but to no real avail. This is when Rip Hunter intervenes removing the time drive from the wave rider with a plan to use it to contain Mallus for the time being giving the legends time to come up with a proper plan of attack. But while the time drive will contain the demon for a short period it will indefinitely kill Rip which leads to some flashbacks from season 1 and 2 and an emotional moment is shared between Rip and Sara right before he sacrifices himself for the team. Goodbye Captain Rip it was a really incredible journey.

After Rip succeeds in stalling Mallus and buying the legends some time they all head to the wild west (except for Ray but more on him later) this is when Jonah Hex makes his return and right away takes a shine to Zari the two have chemistry right away and they end up spending some time together throughout the episode. While everyone is in a saloon however Blackbeard Julius Caesar and Freydis ride into town and tell the legends that they have until the next day to hand over the 6 totems. Turns out they are all under the control of Mallus. So this leaves the legends with a dilemma. Turn over the totems? or try to use them and harness the true power of them. They go with the latter of course but not before some familiar faces return to help. Jax who is married now and has a kid Helen Of Troy who is a full blown Amazon now complete with some real badass moves. Ava (no introduction needed for her) and a returning Kuasa from Vixen's original time period. This leads to an absolutely epic fight between pirates the roman empire and countless others. The legends come out on top at first but eventually Mallus regains the upper hand and this is when the episode just goes completely bonkers but in the best way possible. The Legends having learned how the original totem bearers defeated Mallus and imprisoned him all those years decide to do the same thing. But what comes out of it I really didn't expect as they use the totems powers to unite them all at once they turn into a giant Beebo. Yes that same doll from way back during the mid season finale. They take on Mallus in this form which was the most ridiculously brilliant fight scene I think the show has ever produced. It was just so silly but it made perfect sense in the aspect of both this season and the show. It continues to never take itself so seriously and it really does show. Beebo overcomes Mallus and completely destroys him reducing him to nothing but a pile of ash in a crater that's filled with feathers from Beebo and 6 triumphant legends. Now some might say that the whole final fight was absolutely ridiculous and just plain dumb bit I disagree it was hilarious engaging and everything you could want in a final fight especially from this show. Long live Beebo!
Onto Ray now and he comes up with a plan to save Nora. He and Damien Dahrk take the jump ship to moments before Mallus broke free from her vessel but not before Damien actually kills her with Ray's nano tech gun leaving the demon to go inside of Damien. The whole story of Damien Dahrk really did come full circle as he went from a no caring villain to a somewhat human man who did eventually die a good death in saving his daughter. The episode ends however as Vixen with a heavy heart decides to finally return to her own time period for good leaving all the legends behind. Her and Nate share a goodbye scene and it looks like she too has left the show which is a shame because she really offered a lot in my opinion. Skip to Aruba and we see all the legends enjoying some time off but it's short lived of course as the episodes gotta end on a cliffhanger and it does as Constantine shows up and tells them that not only did they aid in releasing Mallus but other demons got out also during the small window of time. It ends there and then and I really can't wait to see how season 4 will play especially with the master of the dark arts on the team. This episode was truly bonkers but in the best way possible and capped off a brilliant season of the show. Long live The Legends Of Tomorrow and I'll see you all in season 4!
