Gotham 4x12 : Pieces Of A Broken Mirror review


Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it

 Gotham finally returns after it's winter break and with it brings us many interesting and always developing story lines to look forward to in the weeks from now until the end of the season. The episode begins as we see Captain Gordon out and about looking for Harvey Bullock as he really wants him to rejoin the GCPD and become his partner against crime again. He visits gentlemen clubs and bars among many other places. Soon after as Jim is getting into his car 2 guys and a girl are seen walking down an alley which leads into the shop that we last saw Ivy in. The place where she drank all those toxic potions that seems like an age ago now if I'm being honest. As the 3 people investigate they notice a giant cocoon laying dormant in the middle of the room with a body of some sort inside of it. But dormant it doesn't lay not for long as Ivy awakens from the cocoon before killing one of the guys but just touching him leading the others to escape. This was a really cool and almost comic accurate introduction to the Poison Ivy character. That name even gets dropped later in the episode by Lucius Fox while the doctor at the GCPD examines the corpse he notices Ivy begin to grow out of it replacing the blood at a fast rate this is when Lucius Fox calls it Poison Ivy. As Ivy roams around the city she breaks into a couple's house as she sees them leaving before witnessing a commercial for the Sirens club on TV. The commercial is actually really funny and so cheese filled it was ridiculous. Needless to say Ivy visits the club where we see Bruce hanging out still living up his playboy lifestyle after firing Alfred. Selina even questions his intentions and it seems like she is so disappointed in him. I really want to see their relationship develop more over the rest of the season. Maybe Selina might convince him that he's been an idiot and he'll come around? more on Ivy and as she is asked to leave the bar after a scuffle with some guys Selina follows her home and Ivy almost kills Selina before giving her a antidote. She tells Selina that she now has the power to make Gotham her bitch and he wants Selina to join her. 

 Onto Alfred now and we see him in a diner surrounded by thugs and one very beautiful soul in the waitress as he puts it to Gordon later. Alfred and the waitress actually hit it off but her boyfriend turns up one night as Alfred is walking her home and it's learned that he has been beating her up. This leads to him and Alfred getting in a scuffle only for Alfred to lose his ring and the boyfriend taking it. Later on the waitress's body is discovered and yes Alfred is the main suspect. Alfred overcome with guilt and anger decides to bring it upon himself to try and bring the boyfriend to justice. He succeeds for a minute only for the boyfriend and his friends to gang up on him. But Bullock comes to the rescue and calls it in leaving the boyfriend to face real justice. Speaking of Bullock as him and Alfred share a drink Gordon walks in and asks Bullock to return to the GCPD but he flat out declines. 
There's so much more to this episode like Lee and Ed rallying the narrows, Grundy remembering more of his past self and the Toy Maker making himself known. I really enjoyed this episode. It wasn't the best this season by any means but it was a nice welcome back to Gotham after what seemed like a never ending winter break. Welcome back Gotham it's good to have you back!

Gotham 5x1 : Year Zero review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it Gotham finally returns for it's fifth and sadly last season and with a run of only 12 episodes there is a lot to get through and eventually wrap up. It begins on Day 391 of No Man's Land as the final battle for Gotham comes to a head as Captain Gordon, Harvey Bullock, Riddler and even Penguin all suit up and get loaded for combat as all men led by many more GCPD officers open fire from a top a massive wall as Jim Gordon says ''For Gotham'' this of course is going to be the end of the season but let's go all the way back to day 87 of No Man's Land where we see Gordon talking to someone on a radio. He explains the situation currently going on in Gotham. He says various villains have taken over their own terrirtorys for example The Penguin has taken over Gotham City Hall, Scarecrow has his own little area, Mr Freeze and Firefly are at war with one ano...

Superman & Lois 3x13 : What Kills You Only Makes You Stronger review

                Be warned there will be SP OILERS* inv olved in this review. With that being said let's get into it. Season 3 of Superman and Lois has come to and end in the most devastatingly epic way. The finale opens up with Sam Lane telling Lois and Clark that Lex Luthor is nowhere to be found. Clark adds more to this by saying he can't hear him either but Lois is not convinced after all Lex did literally threaten her at the end of last weeks episode. A meteor shower is planned for the evening right at the center of Smallville town so you just know something is going to go down then and as expected something major does go down but more on that a bit later. As the boys leave the house Lois tells Clark that she is ready to be intimate again and the two fly off to a private secluded area where they can be together for the first time since Lois had her breasts removed due to her cancer.
