Arrow 6x9 : Irreconcilable Differences review
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.
Arrow's mid season finale has come and gone and while it wasn't a bad episode by any means but compared to the rest of the CW shows this week it was definitely the weakest.
Onto the episode now and it begins with a wedding reception for Oliver and Felicity who turns who fashionably late with her parents in tow. I don't ever remember seeing or hearing about her parents reconnecting but it seems they have. Oliver and Felicity share their first kiss first dance and enjoy the evening with all their closest friends. But not before Quentin Lance gets a phone call and tells Oliver that there is someone on the team who is willing to testify against him that he is indeed the Green Arrow. The team member is revealed later in the episode and it turns out to be Rene. He tells the team he was put in a no win situation as the FBI really put him under their microscope so to speak and told him he'd never see his daughter again if he doesn't cooperate. Oliver furious of course tells him to leave and he does.
Black Siren returns once again and honestly it's getting a little boring and same old with her and Cayden James once again trying to steal some tech. The ending of the episode was really good though as it is shown that Cayden James Laurel, Vigilante one of Cayden's guys and even Anatoli are now all together apparently and plan to take down Team Arrow once and for all and also Star City in the process.
As he found out about a team member potentially testifying against him Oliver had Felicity track all members of the team who eventually find this out and aren't too impressed with their actions. It's an invasion of privacy which is perfectly accurate. Curtis later tells the team that if they can't trust him than he can't trust them and he is leaving the team. As Curtis and the others leave we see that Cayden James had Laurel plant a spy camera in the bunker while she invaded it earlier in the season and this is the scene where all the villains come together and that is where it ended.
If I didn't seem interested in this episode is because well I wasn't. For a mid season finale I expected more and given this show's previous mid season;s outings I may have expected too much but still it actually felt like a filler episode and that is never a good thing. The season so far hasn't really hit any of the highs of last season and I just hope once it comes back in 2018 it will begin firing at top form once again. See you in 2018 Team Arrow!
