Legends Of Tomorrow 3x7 : Welcome to the jungle review
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.
The Legends return once again and this time we're right away dropped into the 1967's Vietnam war. As the episode begins we're shown that Sara is still in her coma from last week and Jax has been placed as the acting captain. Jax who still is trying to break up Firestorm with the professor. This goes on the back burner in this episode as the legends are informed of trouble during Vietnam in 1967 right in the middle of the war.
When they arrive they split up into two teams as Ray Amya and Zari pretend to be journalists Mick and Nate pretend to be soldiers to blend in. This of course doesn't go to plan as they are found out by Mick's father of all people. Mick tells Nate that he has serious daddy issues and flat out murdered him years ago. Left him to burn and that is basically how he became Heatwave. Later in the episode they actually bond a lot together and really do look like father and son again.
Onto the 3 journalists and as they arrive at a camp they learn that Gorilla Grodd is basically a god to the people in the area and controls them all. One nation under Grodd as they all shout. Amya tries to talk Grodd out of this and get him to agree to go to a time where no humans exist as Grodd wants humans to suffer for what they did to him. Grodd learns of the waverider and makes his way to it, to try and take control of all time. He is defeated and thrown from the time zone into an unknown time where Damien Dhark turns up and tries to reason with him. Grodd teaming up with Dhark would be really cool to see and I hope it happens.
If this review seems short then I'm sorry but this episode honestly didn't do much for me. Given that this series has been my absolute favorite out of all the DC shows this season it actually disappointed me. It's jokes fell flat and just the overall episode felt like filler even with Grodd in it. Hopefully this just a small blip on the season as next week we're getting that 2 night crossover between all shows. Can't wait for that! One nation under The Legends Of Tomorrow.
