Arrow 6x6 : Promises Kept review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.

Starting off where it ended last week we see Slade and his son talk things over before Slade agrees to join his son in his fight. Oliver is still in hiding position as father and son somewhat bond and right away we're taking back to more flashbacks of Slade and we finally learn what made him come after Oliver in season 2. As he is washed up on an island somewhere his son informs him that he lost his eye and Slade mentions Oliver and his plan to get revenge on him someday. Fast forward a year and as Slade and his son are training it flashes between them and Slade and Oliver training on the island. Slade overcome with anger and frustration trains his son a bit too hard and this causes them to stop for awhile. More on Slade later.

There's a new player in Star City by the name of Dragon or as we later come to know him Ricardo Diaz a criminal mastermind who somehow managed to avoid multiple life sentences. As Diggle is running of his drugs he goes to the supplier and of course it is none other than Ricardo Diaz. Diggle plays along and gets more of the drug to help his tremor before confessing all to not only his wife but the entire team also. Curtis agrees to help him with his tremor so that he can avoid taking drugs. Dig gives the team the location for Dragon's warehouse where he is making and supplying these drugs so it's mission time to take him down or at least wipe out his stock which they manage to do.

Back onto Slade now and as he is training he begins seeing Shadow once again. A returning figure from Season's 1 and 2 and someone who Oliver choose to kill to save Sara on the island. She tells him that Oliver is alive and well and that he needs to take revenge what he done to them both. This is the point where Deathstroke is born and he flat out kills everyone in sight only sparing his son. These flashbacks were very much appreciated as I've always wondered just how and why Slade came after Oliver in season 2 as it was never really explained.

I enjoyed this episode sure it wasn't incredible but it was very enjoyable and easily one of my favorite episodes this season. Cheers to Team Arrow's future.
