Arrow 6x5 : Deathstroke returns review
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.
Moving on from last week's really good episode Arrow continues it's good pacing and action filled goodness this week. As the episode starts with a returning Vigilante who is out to kill a corrupt politician. He fails in his quest of course, thwarted by the team and we finally do find out his identity. He is none other than Dinah's ex partner and lover. She of course is taken back by this as she saw him get shot in the head right in front of her but it turns out that the dark matter from the particle accelerator also affected him giving him the power of instant healing. So that explains how he survived that attack by Prometheus last season. Nice to see them tie all that together.
The FBI agent who's been investigating Oliver steps up her pursuit and begins to question and interview members of the team starting with Diggle. She later begins to question others members of the team throughout the episode, Felicty, Wild Dog etc. We don't actually see them get interviewed though. Well we do see Felicity but she is practically called away right as she is about to be interviewed so that doesn't really count. I may have said this before but the FBI agent is really giving me Amanda Waller vibes. The actress is really good in this role.
Onto Oliver now and he meets up with Slade early in the episode as Slade tells him the mission ahead, we see later that Oliver is struggling with his decision to go or not as he doesn't want to break his promise to William. Felicity ever the voice of reason manages to somewhat convince him to go. Slade's plan is to basically use Oliver's status as mayor to get his son out of where he's being held captive. This doesn't go to plan of course as his son isn't actually being held captive he is dead..or is he? as Oliver learns of an almost ghost like organisation called The Jackels he informs Slade of this so Slade goes alone to try and find his son. What he finds out instead was a really nice twist as his son isn't dead or being held captive he is the one in CHARGE of this group called The Jackels as he informs his father and we see Oliver in hiding in the corner, and that is how the episode ends.
This was another stellar episode from Team Arrow and this season while it has had 1 or 2 filler episodes so far has been a really enjoyable watch thus far, More of this Team Arrow and you'll be back to your absolute best.
