Supergirl 3x4 : The faithful review

Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.

This week's episode starts with a flashback going all the way back to the very first episode of this show. The scene where the then unknown Supergirl saved a plane from crashing. This time though we see it from inside the plane as passengers scream and pray for their lives. Kara does save the plane as we know and we're introduced to a character named Coville inside the plane as he notices Kara basically take off into flight. It was at this moment that his life changed forever. As he says to Kara later in the episode it was in that moment he realized that she was god.

Reign's character was developed a lot better in this episode. Probably the best episode that we've seen her in so far. We see her struggle to make time for her daughter as she is consumed by her workload at Luther Corp. The reaction her daughter has to her mom pretty much just leaving her to sleep in her office really pulls on the heart strings and is really something that quite frequently happens on a day to day basis in the real world. One thing I've always loved about this show is how it deals with real life issues. Last week it dealt with the issue of parents not able to accept their children's choices in life and in turn not be involved in their life much like Maggie's parents.

Speaking of Maggie as we saw last week she doesn't want to have kids to which Alex was okay with but as she Kara and Lena go to see Reign's daughter perform Alex is overcome with emotion and storms out. Turns out she does want kids and pretty badly at that. This whole scene was brilliantly acted and you could really sense the emotion running throughout Alex. Kara does her best to comfort her as she has no idea what she is going to do as she loves Maggie but the thought of not having kids is just too much to bear.

More on Reign and as she is at her daughter's soccer game a mysterious woman approaches her and hands her a leaf let for some sort of group. This turns out to be a cult led by the same guy I mentioned earlier Coville. He runs a Supergirl cult. Which basically is just a group of people who come to together praise Supergirl and share stories of her heroism. But of course Coville takes this too far and Supergirl intervenes to stop him. His faith in her is broken when kryptonite weakens Kara and she shows him that she is no god and can actually bleed. This was nice and it shows even Supergirl has her weak points and she'll go through practically anything to save the day and do what she thinks is right.

This was another really solid episode of Supergirl and this show is quickly becoming my 2nd favorite after Legends Of Tomorrow. Keep flying this high Kara and you'll blow the competition away with ease.
