Legends Of Tomorrow 3x2 : Freakshow review
Be warned there will be *SPOILERS* involved in this review. With that being said let's get into it.
We start off this week's episode and see that Nate and Vixen are living a normal life together in Central City. As Nate pops out to get some stuff Vixen sees her would be grand daughter on TV and runs off to find her leaving Nate dumb founded in the process. We later find out that she went to Detroit to see her up close for herself before returning to her original time period. But as she tells the team something is wrong with her totem as she feels herself lose control each time she uses it. She rejoins the team at the end of the episode which was good to see.
Ray Palmer develops new technology to help with anacronisms. Complete with the 'Shrink ray' name which was just hilarious. The latest anacronism appears at a freakshow during the 1800's in the US. A Sabertooth turns out to the aboration and so the mission begins to set it right. Speaking of the sabertooth the CGI used just looked so bad. I know this show is low budget but wow it looked bad. Later reduced to a mini size by Ray's shrink ray, we see a circus ring leader in a bar to which all male members of the team are in having a drink. Nate being the absolute ingenius that he is shows off his powers and tells the man in charge that Ray and Jax also have powers to which the circus leader captures them all.
This episode again captured the perfect chemistry of the cast as it was absolutely hilarious much like last week. This show is easily the most fun out of all DC shows. The cast is dynamic and sure look like they are having an absolute blast which is always important. Special shout out to the Man Of Steel reference by the circus leader P.T. Barnem to which he then says that sounds good I'll have to write that down later. Small but funny little nod to Superman.
The episode ends as Vixen rejoins the team but not before we're introduced to only what I can think is the big bad or at least part of the big bad. We see a person dressed in all black cloaked to hide their face. They appear to summon a woman out of the water and says it's time to get to work. I have no idea who or what that was but it definitely intrigued me.
This was another quality episodes of Legends and just proves it never hurts to have some fun in these shows. Not everything needs to be taken so seriously. Long live the Legends Of Tomorrow.
