The Hitman's Bodyguard review
The Hitman's Bodyguard starring Ryan Reynolds Samuel L. Jackson and Gary Oldman. I honestly did not know what to expect going to see this. I saw the trailer and dismissed it completely but after seeing it I can honestly say it's a good yet at times bad watch. Don't get me wrong it is a good watch to pass the time but that's all really. You'll be leaving the cinema not remembering this in a week. The leads do work well together but there is only so many times you can hear the word motherf**ker without it becoming tiresome. Music scenes with Salma Hayek involved are also so cheesy that it's almost cringeworthy at times. Although Hayek really does play her part well. She's sexy funny and damn sure fiery.
The action scenes do play out well especially the entire chase scene in Amsterdam but other than that this just a generic and somewhat predictable comedy that while funny at points falls completely flat on it's face at others.
This would be perfect for a Sunday afternoon watch when you have nothing better to do. Other than that I'd say skip this at the cinema and just wait for the DVD or Blu-ray.
