  I've been a Damien Chazelle fan for quite some time now. From La, La Land and Whiplash to The First Man he has proved to be quite the excellent filmmaker over the years. So now with this his newest movie can it succeed or will it be the beginning of his end?? Babylon is a masterfully crafted piece of cinema that is at it's essence a tribute to cinema itself. The story follows the story of three different characters who stories all intertwine with one another. Firstly there is Margot Robbie who knows she is a star, wants to be a star but isn't quite a star yet. The energy she brings to the role especially at the beginning is absolutely stellar. This is arguably her greatest ever performance it's really that good. She oozes sex appeal and charisma and will take your breath away.  Secondly is Brad Pitt who plays a big movie star, and Diego Calva who is a dreamer just wanting to be a part of the movies.   Horror has become somewhat of my favorite genre the past few years. From Cabin in the Woods and Happy Death Day, to last years Barbarian to the latest Scream movie the genre has surprised and entertained me so much. So with this new movie named M3GAN can it continue that trend? or will this movie end up a broken old mess of junk thrown into the corner?? well the answer to that question right away is no. M3GAN is a unique, original and fascinating movie from beginning to end. M3GAN is an A.I. marvel. A lifelike doll that is programmed to pair with a child and be their friend. protector and everything else in-between. Designed by a scientist named Gemma who has recently had to take guardianship of her young niece she designs and implements M3GAN as a major part of her nieces life after the death of her parents.  Right away the Child's Play similarities are clear at least they were to me.
