Ready or Not review

Image
Board games, a crazed family, a newlywed couple and oodles of fun. Ready or Not follows the newly wed couple of Grace and Alex. Alex who is the son of a generational line of game masters named the Le Domas family. A family rich in both money and blood. At the beginning of the movie we're introduced to Grace and Alex and together they share a very special wedding day..that is it until later that evening. As per tradition in the Le Domas family whenever somebody new joins the family they are supposed to play a game at midnight. This could be any game as we're told it's all by chance. Previous players got chess, checkers etc. But there is one card that is not the kind of game you would want to play, especially with your in-laws and that is Hide & Seek. Of course Grace pulls that card and it's right from here where the movie just tosses the rule book out the window and becomes one of the most entertaining, funny and brilliant horror mysteries of the year.  First

Ad Astra review

First off Ad Astra on paper is nothing new in terms of plot and characters. In that sense it is pretty generic but it is elevated to absolutely amazing heights (sometimes literally) by it's cinematography, acting of his main actors and the art of making you actually feel like you are along for the journey with Brad Pitt's character. Speaking of Pitt he plays an Astronaut named Roy McBride. A major and well respected he is tasked with travelling across space to find his dad who for many years he thought was dead. But after getting news that he may very well be alive after almost 20 years he is tasked with travelling to Mars to send a message in hope of it finding his dad's lost shuttle. Like I said at the beginning the story is pretty basic and that's fine but it's Pitt's performance here that is just incredibly captivating. It's hard to put into words just how good he is you truly have to see it for yourself. Tommy Lee Jones who plays his dad is also very

It wasn't all that scary and even though I have a fear of clowns it didn't do much to frighten, it was more on the creepy side. With that being said I wasn't surprised that a part two was announced and with some casting choices I was actually excited to see how IT would end. Set once again in the sleepy city of Derry 27 years after the first movie it starts with two guys minding their own business at a carnival. The duo get attacked by a group of thugs and one guy gets tossed into the river. Badly hurt the other goes to try and save his friend but his greeted by none other than the returning Pennywise who takes a bite (literally) out of the guy who was thrown into the river. Soon after this one of the former Loser club members Mike hears on the radio that a body has been found dismembered. He decides to go and check it out for himself as he is suspicious of what happened, his suspicion i
