From the World of John Wick : Ballerina review

With any successful movie franchise comes a spin-off and with John Wick that is exactly what has arrived in the form of Ballerina a vicious and violent action thriller movie. Starring Ana De Armas as a young assassin named Eve who after witnessing the death of her father trains in the traditions of a Ruska Roma organisation all while plotting her revenge on those who did her father wrong. Right off the bat Ballerina easily fits into the John Wick franchise like a glove it's like slipping on a pair of leather gloves, firm and a really solid grip.

Ana De Armas is fantastic here and boy does she bring the heat and action. Her performance is electric from running and gunning moments to hand to hand combat she really showcases her talents and it all comes together into a really rather visceral movie at some points. Body parts and blood flood the screen on multiple occasions with some truly narly kills and action sequences. As with John Wick movies tho the plot is rather standard and that's fine it gets the job done, the action really is the bread and butter of the series.

Ballerina is a fantastic thrill ride from beginning to end. Not only is Ana De Armas brilliant throughout but everyone else is good also including the man himself John Wick once more played by Keanu Reeves. It's a little bit of a different vibe from his character but it was a really nice change of pace. Ballerina is well worth checking out as it is purely popcorn cinema at it's finest and this series really does remain one of the best when it comes to action.
